One nite POR before move to CR, what to do about luggage?

Hi! We are coming on the 15th, arriving in the evening, and will arrive at POR (for our first time!) for a night of sleep before beginnning our trip at the CR/Poly. We won't get to our resort until about 8 or 9pm on the 15th. The next day we are checking out and will make our way to the CR. Will they move our luggage for us to the CR? I have never stayed at a mod before and I don't know if they will still handle our luggage for us. Any ideas?

WDW will move your luggage from resort to resort no matter what level you are in. You'll have no problem.

They may want you to stay with your luggage until they pick it up. 5fromabove went and stayed one night at AKL but had to stay with the luggage until they came to pick it up to transfer to the new resort. So, don't call last minute at check out if you're ready to be off and running to a park!

Kelly made a good point. We did luggage transfer from POR to WL and while they were happy to get our bags - there was a bit of a wait for Bell Services to pick them up.

Do you have a car at your disposal? Take only what you need in an overnight bag for you and your party for the night and next morning and leave the rest in your car. In the morning, get up and go to CR. No waiting for Bell Services to pick your bags up and drop them off. We have done this on all our trips by car to WDW.
