Rowers for home gym?

Can anyone recommend a good brand for rowing machines? I am looking to get one for my home gym. I don't want to spend more than $1,000 though, but need to purchase a sturdy one as my husband wants would use it and he is a tall man.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I've heard good things about Concept2 rowing machines, and I am fairly certain that they are the ones at the local Y. They're toward the upper end of your price range, but they're gym-quality machines, which means that your husband should be able to use it as well.

Thanks so much for the recommendation, I will definitely look into that one. The more we are researching the more we are realizing it is better to spend more moeny and get a quality machine that we both can use.
