What time do theme park restaurants start serving breakfast? Are ADRs made for times before the parks themselves are open? If so, how do you get to the restaurants?
Also, I'm confused about breakfast at Akershus. Doesn't World Showcase open 2 hours after the rest of Epcot? So, same question, how do you get to the restaurant?

Yes, some places do have ADRs before the park opening. You simply go to the gate and give the CM your ADR number. Most of the parks have a specific entrance for early ADRs. You're not allowed to go many places in the park, but you can go straight to your restaurant. In AK a CM actually walks you through the park to your restaurant. If you don't have your own transportation, however, be sure you don't book it too early or you'll risk not getting there.

The breakfast ADR's can be as early as 8:00 am in parks that open and hour later. We did Donalds breakfastsaurs (now closed) in June and we were in the park an hour before it actually opened. We were done eating and waiting at a rope to be led to EE, probably 15 minutes or so before the park opened. We got the ride EE as the very first riders, first car. That was great and we sure hope to do it again next June.

Isn't there an early bus specifically for groups with character breakfasts? Even if you don't have a car, you should be able to reach the restaurant if you schedule a meal before the parks open.

I know the bus definitely stops at Magic Kingdom, but I'm not sure about the other parks. Does anybody else know for sure?

At the gate, a Cast Member will confirm you actually have a reservation and escort you through the park.
