We're going down for our 1st Disney New Year and were wondering where the best place is to watch the fireworks at MGM.

:ditto: although I don't know that you want to be really close to the hub with the socerer's hat blocking the view of the Chinese theater. I loved Sorcery in the Sky - I haven't seen it in years since it's a holiday-only event now.

thanx...but anyone have any "secret" :secret: spots where the view was good besides Hollywood Blvd?

Two years ago we watched it right in front of the hat. It was pretty cool, because they had a big soundstage set up. A dj was playing all sorts of music and everybody was dancing, young and old alike. It was an awesome experience. I felt like I was in timesquare. There is something about counting down with thousands of other people that just gives you chills. I would skip the "secret spot" and go for the full on right in front of the hat, extremely crowded, spot.
