2008 Dining plan tips

We are traveling in January as a party of 7. We are doing the dining plan. My question is, on the dining plan page on Disney's site it says that parties of 6 or more automatically add 18% gratuity to the bill. We have 4 adults and 3 children ages 2, 1, 1. Would they charge us the 18% or when it comes to the bill it would be only 4? They kids will be sharing our meals. Does anyone know how they will do this?

I do believe they would charge you the 18% since the reservations will be listed as 7 people. I would say call Disney and ask but who knows what type of answer you will receive and if it will change by the time you travel. I would suggest asking at each restaurant when you check in as well as calling WDW a few days before you leave to see if they have any type of official policy that may allow to dispute what the individual restaurants answer to make sure it is in line with the official policy.
