Just curious -
when we were there in Sept, we booked our bounce back for next year. We made our reservations at CBR because we really enjoyed our stay there 2 yrs ago.
We are probably going to change our resort due to CBR's main pool closure.
Just curious how many others are considering or will be doing the same thing.
If you are changing, where are you going?

I am going in Jan. and I will be changing But I am waiting for disc. I have never been there but I will have to wait. Everyone wanted to use the main pool. For me it would not matter but the others would like to swim in a great pool.

Will the pool be closed for 9 months???...I was never that impressed with the pool...it's rather small and the hot tub holds five people, which is crazy for a resort that size...and parents were letting their little children in the tub, which left no room for other adults...I do love the resort...and the quiet pools which are more relaxing...but I admit, I didn't have children with me. I think the other moderate resorts had much better pools...

When we booked for Sept 2008, we were told that the main pool is scheduled to be closed from 1/08 thorugh 9/08.
Yes, the pool definately needs to be redone. I'm just not sure we want to be staying there while it happens.

kathiep- If you are changing your resort because of the main pool, consider CSR. Their pool complex is probably the best of the moderates. It has the longest slide and their is the Mayan pyramid that has water cascading down it that you can sit on. The pool is at least 3x the size of CBR's and it has a spot where water sprays into it. Also, the wading pool has a sprinkler in it.
CSR also has one section called "cabanas" that are sort of similar on the outside to CBR. There is a beach with some hammocks also.
Just a consideration....there are a lot of photos of CSR out there if you google it. Good luck deciding what to do.

From the info that I recieved from a CM,the pool is being completely removed and being replaced with a much larger pool with an 80 foot waterslide. She said when it's done it will be the best pool in all of Disney including Storm-along-Bay at the Y&B Club.I'll have to see that to believe it.

As I just posted in another question, I rarely use the Main Pool at CBR. Each "island" has its own private pool and that is where we usually go. I also like the fact that the laundry facilities are located right next to the pools.
