DD and her entire 8th grade class left last night on a class trip to Washington, DC. Tommorrow morning they will start the day at Arlington National Cemetary. The class has been given the honor of laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns and DD will be one of 4 members of the class who will lay the wreath.

I only wish I could be there to see it in person.

When I was in 8th grade ( a million years ago) my school also did a trip to DC and did the wreath laying and I was one of the students selected to lay the wreath. They took pictures and gave them to my parents when we got back in town and also a copy went to the local paper. So hopefully they still do that and you will at least have pictures of your daughter laying the wreath.

It is a million and 1 years later (LOL) and I still remember the experience and how honored I felt being chosen.

Congrats!
