Any info on this event? Is it worth the extra money? Any positives or negatives you can share would be great.

There are specifics on Intercot "Info" and on Disney.com about the party. This is a wonderful party in all respects. The park is less crowded than normal (they only sell a limited amount of tickets). You can usually walk onto most rides without a fast pass. It snows on Main Street! The parade is holiday themed with Santa and Mickey. The fireworks are usually holiday themed. They have hot chocolate and cookies for everyone. And, special MVMCP merchandise for sale at the stores. :candy::snowman::stock:
This party is a great way to get in the "holiday spirit". We are starting off our Thanksgiving WDW trip with the MVMCP on 11/16. I can't wait to go!! This will be our 3rd MVMCP. I would go every year if I could. :santa:

1) Overall, I'd say it merits a visit at least once.
2) After that, you can make up your own mind.
3) There are specific holiday events and shows.
4) But, it is VERY, VERY crowded for them.
5) The big rides are less crowded, due to Christmas activities.
6) But, that is an expensive way to ride the rides.

IMHO: If you go, go for the specific holiday events, and not to ride the rides. We did it once and were pleased, but haven't done it again. Sure, there are "limited" tickets sold, but it is crowded in the popular areas, like Main Street and Tomorrowland.

We went in Dec. 2006 for the first time. I was very impressed! To me, it is definitely worth the extra money! The snow on main street, the parade, the shows, the cookies and hot chocolate, everything is great! The ride lines were short, but we didn't ride anything! There was too many other "new and different" things going on! I can't wait to go again! :santa:

After reading everything about the party we decided it was definately worth the price to see it for ourselves...as a matter of fact we extended our vacation a day so we could go do it!!

We went in :mickey:December 2005. We really liked the
parade. It was totally different than the regular parade during the day. It is my favorite parade that I have seen thus far at disney. There is a place where they take your family's picture. In Fantasyland they had a dance floor area where our DD could dance with characters. She was 6 at the time and really enjoyed it. It was busy but not overwhelming. Because of the shows, we were able to walk right on pirates and splash mountain. Splash was neat at night! When we left for the night, the shops were really busy because they sell special merchandise for the party. I would recommend getting the items early and having them sent back to your hotel if you are staying at disney.
It seemed after 10:00 pm a lot of the crowd left maybe because of small children. We slept
in that day so we could stay up later at night.
A great time!-It did snow on Main St!

Hey everyone! As first timiers we will be at the MVMCP on 11-29. I can't wait to see my kids faces watching all the XMas spirit unravel. I have a feeling from all you intercotees, that this will definetly be an awesome expierence for our family. On the day of the MVMCP, MK also has EMH in the morning. How can we pass that up? 8am - midnight at the MK:cloud9:, I guess we planned that right! WDW here we come!!:woohoo::santa:

What do you think about 2 adults going without kids?

We're sneaking away for a few days without the kids and trying to decide if we should attend the party while we are there.

I think it sounds like fun, but my wifes a bit hesitant.

Thanks!

The Christmas party is the best hands down.
One of our favorite memories!:tink:

I think it's the best ever. Hubby and I don't have any kids and we go to Disney at least once a week. We go to all the extra parties (Pirate and Princess & Halloween) and we dress up too. We have the best time and have so many fond memories.

Who says you ever have to grow up? :mickey:

Enjoy and let your inner child shine through!!!

:ditto: to what FLPasHldrs said! I think you'd have a great time with just you and your wife! There's no place better than Disney than to feel like a kid again yourself!

We'll be going to MVMCP for the first time on Dec. 11 and we're all SOOOOO excited! I've been wanting to go to it since I heard about it a few years ago! Actually, this will be our first time going around Christmastime, so that makes it even more exciting! I absolutely can't wait...it will be a dream come true for me! :santa:

I think you'll have a good time. We've gone both with and without kids, and (don't tell my grandkids :secret: ) we had a better time without the kids. We were more free to wander around and do things at our own pace, not having to worry about the effect of the night/late hours on the kids, plus there was no whining and arguing  (as kids tend to do when they get tired)! LOL

I say go for it.

I agree! My husband and myself leave for Disney in 16 days. We leave on Nov. 7th thru 17th; celebrating our ten year anniv. We are like big kids at heart. When you're at Disney everyone is a kid. Can't wait for the fun to start!!!! Have fun in December and enjoy the parties.:santa3::deer::sleigh:

My GF has two daughters and I'm mad because she won't bring them with because it's a school night. I made them miss a day of school two weeks ago for their B-day(1st time for them) to take them to MK. Now I went them to come with for the Xmas party. It won't be the same without the kids.
