It's definately not dark at 6pm right now, but once the clocks change and we get into mid/late November then it should be dark enough.

Are you wondering about Hallowishes? Cause then I'm not certain.

Clocks go back an hour on November 4, but in the Northeast we are completely dark at around 5:30 pm by Halloween so it is definitely possible.

I believe thay changed the date in the US to the first Sunday in October which is 11/4 this year. It used to be the last Sunday in October which would have been 10/28 if we were still using last year's rules.

If you are looking at a MK calendar on a day that the park closes a 6:00, depending on the month it is a MNSSHP or MVMCP day. Which fireworks are around 9:30.

1) After the time change, no problem.
2) The governor signed a bill for your viewing convenience.
3) At 5:23pm, nightly, we lower the shades to make it darker.
4) I think the WDW lobbyists had some influence here.

This is a good point. I only thought to address the question, will it be dark enough. But the fact is that the fireworks probably won't be going off at six as the above poster explains.

The December 2007 park hours has MK fireworks at 6 p.m. on MVMCP days for regular (non-party) guests. It will be dark by then!

I am sorry that I did not specify that we are going Nov. 15th-22nd. Thanks for all the responses

As others have said, it will be dark. I actually found the early darkness the most disorienting part of being at WDW at that time of year. It made our days feel very short. We probably will not return at Christmastime for this reason.
