Oct. 12, 1986 – The Golden Horseshoe Revue in Disneyland’s Frontierland officially closed. The show (written by Wally Boag and Donald Novis) has been running since July 1955.
Oct. 12, 1987 – The Disney TV special “Funny, You Don’t Look 200” aired on ABC.
Oct. 12, 1990 – The Disney/Touchstone film “Mr. Destiny,” and filmed at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, N.C. starring James Belushi, Linda Hamilton, Michael Caine, John Lovitz, and Hart Bochner was released.
Oct. 12, 1995 - Walt Disney World welcomed “Michelle Davis” as its 500 millionth guest.

Oct. 12, 2001 – WDW’S Fantasyland closed early to the general public for a special charity event. From 4:00pm to 11:00pm, a “Fantasyland Fun-A-Thon” was held to raise money for the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children & Women.
Oct. 12, 2001 – The Lizzie McGuire episode “Fact of Life” aired on the Disney Channel. Drummer Rick Marotta appeared as a special guest star.
Oct. 12, 2003 – Disney’s 10K Classic, a race throughout the World Showcase at Epcot, took place. The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society was the official race beneficiary. Florida native Matthew Dobson finished first, beating out nearly 2,000 runners.
