Thursday, September 20- Day 5 of 8
The players:

We get up at our usual time (about 7:00) and head off to Epcot. Once again, the line for a bus from Pop is ridiculously long but we’re starting to get used to it. Once there, we take the obligatory photo of Spaceship Earth (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1477.jpg) and then continue onto Test Track ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1486.jpg), passing Mission Space on the way. We ride and then grab a fast pass. Next stop: one of my favorites that seems to be either loved or hated- Ellen’s Energy Adventure at the Universe of Energy ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1488.jpg). We wait in line outside for about 10 minutes, a first! After Ellen’s, we head back to Test Track.
We head off to World Showcase, stopping along the way for a pic with some feathered friends ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1508.jpg). We eat at the counter service in Norway and get a ton of food! We’ll definitely stop there again on our next trip for the lefse. We ride Maelstrom, being sure to get a pic of the hidden Mickey ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1511-1.jpg) in the Viking mural. After Norway, we head off to our favorite, Germany. We take quite a few pics of the miniature train set and village and get quite a few of the killer lizards ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1533.jpg) that are everywhere! We also get a pic of another hidden Mickey ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1537.jpg). After Germany, we stop by Japan and get 3 pearls and have them set- 1 for me, 1 for my friend as a thank you for making my Tinkerbell costume and 1 for someone’s Christmas present. While we’re inside, it starts to pour. When the pearls are done, we don the ponchos and head out. We end up in France and get our picture taken at the inside Beauty and the Beast meet-n-greet area ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1554.jpg).
We meander on back to Future world and get a fast pass for Soarin’. We try Journey into Imagination for the first time and both think it’s cute. We also stop by Club Cool ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1598.jpg). We try out some flavors ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1595.jpg) and wander inside ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1597.jpg) for awhile. At about 4:05 we check in at Coral Reef for our 4:20 ADR. We’re seated pretty quickly at a table for 2 near the aquarium. Just like last year, we had great food and great service. If we had not had DDP, we would have paid $123.24 for the 2 of us! After we eat, we head back to Soarin’ with our FP and then get another FP. We head to Mexico to take pictures and do the Fiesta Tour, because it has started pouring again and we’d like to stay dry. After Mexico, we head back to Germany to shop. All of a sudden we realize that our FP time is almost up so we rush back to Soarin’, with 8 minutes to spare. We then decide to head out, taking some pics ( http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v116/gulliblegoose/100_1692.jpg). We beg the last photopass photographer to take our picture before we leave and as he snaps the last one, the sky opens and it pours! There had been a lot of lightning and thunder for the past hour or so and the sky finally just opened up. We dash for the cover of the ticket stands and put our camera away and once again, don the ponchos. We make a mad dash to the Pop bus stop, hoping to beat the crowds, splashing through puddles up to our ankles. We make it to the stop, out of breath and soaked but at least we beat the crowd.
After about 15 minutes, a bus finally shows up and we head back to Pop. By the time we get there, it’s stopped raining so we drop our stuff at the room, grab our mugs and head to Everything Pop. We refill our mugs and pick up our Jiminy sketch we bought yesterday. It turned out great! After, it’s back to the room and bed. Tomorrow is going to be a long day, with Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! :mpumpkin:
