I read that the baby swap on space mountain requires you to take your baby through the line with you. Is this true? Or can you just get a "baby swap pass" that allows the other person(s) to ride after you without making you take your infant through the queue? Thanks.

I can only speak for my one experience baby swapping on SM, but how it worked for us was that the cast member at the entrance (at the very front who performs the initial measurement) gave us the baby swap pass. I got the impression that they didn't want ANYONE under the height requirement in the building.

Yes, Skye and I had to wait for Lou and Tyler outside the line...we were not allowed in the line at all...and I think she would have enjoyed just being able to see the ride and watch her dad and brother take off but she was not able to.

Be careful with baby swap. I'm not too fond of the baby I wound up with and I kinda like the one I brought.

Just kidding - swap takes place outside the building

Yes, the baby must stay outside. Any time a child is under the height requirements, they must stay outside the attraction, otherwise its a liability for Disney, the parent could then sneak the kid on
