Oct. 3, 2000 – Tim Burton’s “The Nightmare Before Christmas” was released on VHS and DVD.
Oct. 3, 2001 – The Disneyland Resort hosted the “Nightmare Before Christmas Enchanted Evening” to celebrate the Haunted Mansion Holiday. Jack Skellington from the film “Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas” descended upon the world-famous Haunted Mansion attraction to bring his version of the holidays to life.
Oct. 3, 2002 – “Le Bat en Rouge,” a new shopping venue, opened at Disneyland’s New Orleans Square.

Oct. 3, 2005 – Ten of the original Mouseketeers gathered in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland to sing, dance, and share memories. They were joined by 1,000 honorary Mouseketeers, who help them unveil the world’s largest pair of Mouseketeer ears on the anniversary of “The Mickey Mouse Club.”
