Sept. 25, 1977 – The Wonderful World of Disney aired the 2-hour episode “King of the Grizzlies” on NBC.
Sept. 25, 1982 – The CBS TV series Walt Disney aired part-1 of “The Apple Dumpling Gang Rides Again.” (Part-2 aired Oct. 2, 1982)
Sept. 25, 1984 – Disneyland workers, including the “Rubberheads,” (the nickname for the costumed characters) went on strike.
Sept. 25, 1991 – The Disney TV series “Good and Evil” debuted on ABC. (Ended Oct. 31, 1991)
Sept. 25, 1999 - El Rio del Tiempo reopened after being renovated in Mexico.
Sept. 25, 1999 – The 4th Annual “Super Soap Weekend” began at Disney-MGM Studios in WDW.
Sept. 25, 2001 – Disney’s touring production “Aida” opened in Dallas, Tx. And would run through the 20th.
Sept. 25, 2002 – Disney’s hour-long drama series “MDs” premiered on ABC-TV. (Ended Dec. 11, 2002)
Sept. 25, 2004 - The attraction “Tom Sawyer Island” reopened to guest after a short rehab. (Closed July 25, 2004)
Sept. 25, 2004 – In preparation for Hurrican Jeanne, WDW closed its theme parks at 7 p.m.
