Going to H & V with the Fantasmic package and just wondering, how long should I plan for our dinner? (table for 4) I have ADR's for 4:50 and we need to check in for our fantasmic ticket's by 6:00. Will this give us enough time to eat? With it being a buffet, I didn't think it would be that big of a deal, but now I'm re-thinking it and not so sure. Can you get in and out of here pretty quick?

What time does the Fantasmic show begin? That would be cutting it awfully close, especially if they are running behind on the ADR times.

Now, if Fantasmic doesn't start until 7:00, I think you should be ok - since you need to be at the gate to Oscars 30 minutes before the show begins.

I should explain that you won't be "checking in" for your Fantasmic tickets - they will give the vouchers to you at the end of your meal, and you simply walk over to Oscar's at the front of the park & they'll let you in the Fantasmic Dinner Package entrance. You will choose your seating once you arrive in the amphitheater.

Being a buffet YOU decide how long you are there eating... this is what we did when we were there back in December and unfortunately they had overbooked... we ended up with about 20 minutes to shovel food down and rush over to Fantasmic. We told the server up front and she had our check made immediately and we paid as we were eating our one and only plate of food. In hindsite we should've complained, but oh well... anyway.. the manager had promised to escort us personally to Fantasmic to ensure we got seats if it came down to it... so just keep your eyes on your watches and you'll be ok...

We have eaten there twice on the Fantasmic package and both times been in-and-out in just under an hour. We went both times in early November - our dinner times were closer to 4:15 or 4:30 though. I think it just depends upon how quickly you get in and get seated and from the sound of the other replies that is anyone's guess. I would recommend getting there plenty early.

you can get out real quick since it's a buffet. can't say that the food is great but you can get out fast as long as you don't lolly gag around. have fun.

If Fantasmic! starts at 6, you'd really need to rush through the meal. Because Hollywood & Vine is a buffet, it's easy to eat quickly, but I would allow at least 45 minutes. Remember you may not be seated exactly at your reservation time, even if you arrive early.

My family allows one hour for all table service meals, but it's definitely possible to finish quicker at a buffet.
