Thanksgiving or Friday after

Which day is busier at the parks, Thanksgiving Day or the Friday after?

Both are extremely busy. We went at a slow Thanksgiving and it was slammed. We went the T-day after 9/11, so may have had something to do with it. We left MK for AKL after the fireworks. It was going to be 5-6 buses before we would get one. We wound up taking a cab and chilling at the lounge. As the people came back, they were all complaining. We wound up traveling by cab far more than buses.

We were thinking of going over T-day in 2008, but the cost was not worth it for us. It was better for us to go for a shorter time 2 weeks later than stay an extra 3 days.

Hi...we went over Thanksgiving last year. It was great. Thanksgiving Day was crazy busy in MK but in Epcot it wasn't that bad (this is where we had dinner). Every day past Thanksgiving got better crowd wise - especially if you're still there the Mon. or Tuesday after.

This will be my 3rd year of going the day after Thanksgiving. We fly out on the day after the holiday and start in the parks on Saturday. Saturday has been a bit busy, but by Sunday, people start clearing out. The week after the holiday is wonderful. The only significant waits we had were for the hot cocoa/cookies and pictures at the MVMCP.

60 days! Can't wait!!!
