Sept. 19, 1966 – Disneyland’s Monsanto Hall of Chemistry was removed to make way for the new “Adventure Through Inner Space” attraction.
Sept. 19, 1971 – The Disney TV movie “Charlie Crowfoot and the Coati Mundi” aired.
Sept. 19, 1974 – Raquel Herring, a member of the Disney Channel’s “The All New Mickey Mouse Club,” was born in Miami.
Sept. 19, 1987 – Actress Danielle Panabaker, Layla of Disney’s 2005 “Sky High,” was born in Georgia. (TV fans may recognize her from the series Summerland.)
Sept. 19, 1990 – The Disney TV series “Lenny” began airing on CBS. (Ended Mar. 9, 1991, it also previewed Sept. 10, 1990)
Sept. 19, 1992 – Disney’s animated TV series “Raw Toonage” debuted on CBS. (Ended Sept. 11, 1993)
Sept. 19, 1997 – The Disney/Touchstone film “A Thousand Acres” was released.
Sept. 19, 2000 - The Little Mermaid II: Return to the Sea was released on home video.
Sept. 19, 2001 – In response to recent world events in Washington, D.C., New York City, and elsewhere, the Walt Disney World Resort further heightened security measures on their property.
Sept. 19, 2003 – “Journey Through Time, the biggest pin trading event of the year took place at WDW in Epcot’s World Showplace.
