last minute TS

Question:
Where have you sucessfully gotten a last minute (read "day of") ADR? Or where have you have luck just walking up and getting in for lunch or dinner?

Depends on the restaurant... For the "good" places, I'm like 0 for 7. Meaning, places I thought I would have trouble, like Le Cellier, HDD, Cali Grill, Boma, etc., I have NOT gotten into in the past few years. Various times of the year too.

I've always been able to get into places like 50's Prime TIme, Biergarten, Garden Grill...

This past Memorial Day week we got same day ADRs for Cape May's Cafe, Sci Fi, and '50s Prime Time. It's definately worth a quick phone call or jaunt down to the concierge desk at your resort to try to secure something as to not be a walk up.

Have successfully gotten tables at Kona Cafe, Tony's, and Beirgarten without ADR's.....

and this one will make you all jealous.....walked up to podium at Le Cellier at about 5:30 PM, as the person ahead of me said to the CM, "Please cancel our table for eight"....asked CM if I, DW, DS#1, DDiL #1, and their 3 children could have the table...We waited all of 10 minutes for a table at LeCellier!
