I'm considering joining DVC. Can we use points at a moderate such as CS or POR? I received a brochure in the mail, but I'm not clear on what I'm reading. Thanks.

Yes, you can use DVC points to stay at a moderate resort.

However once you see how many points it takes (more than a DVC studio and in some cases more than a 1 bedroom unit), you won't want to stay at a mod on points. Better to pay cash and save the points for a DVC stay.

Also, beginning in 2008, you will have to pay a $95 fee to make a reservation at a non-DVC WDW resort.

I agree, that once you see the cost of the points for the moderate resorts, you won't want to use them there :mickey:

DVC used at WDW moderate resorts is one of the least cost effective uses of points there is.....I would discourage it

I agree with the other posters

You could however sell your points and pay cash for the room.

Take the Disney Cruz for instance, You can pocket thousands by selling your points and then pay cash.
