We have 9:40 reservations for the CG. We planned on driving over early from the BW and parking at the Contemporary and walking over to see Spectro Magic and then heading back to the Contemporary to watch the fireworks from the oservation deck before dinner. Are there any resrictions as to how early you can arrive and park at the contemporary for dinner as we will be arriving at least three hours prior to our reservations? Also, will we have a problem getting to the observation deck since our reservation is 20 minutes or so after Wishes.

When going to a resort, you are given a 3 hour parking pass. The resort parking lots are not designed or intended to allow for guests to visit the parks.

If you are going to MK, I would park at the MK parking lot and then move your car to CR when you are going to eat. If you park at CR and walk to MK, you MAY be noticed and approached about it. We've been approached several times while walking to MK from the Contemporary. We do not park there, I'm not sure why they bothered us, maybe we looked like someone that just entered.

Peronally would them to enforce this a little more strict than they do. Nothing is worst than not being able to find parking at the resort you are staying at. This happens often to us at the Boardwalk. Nighttime, you can't find a parking spot, first thing in the AM and the lot is your oyster. I'm talking about resort guest parking too, not public parking, I could care less what they over there...

Parking could be a problem. There is a three hour limit. Getting to the observation deck shouldn't be a problem. You'll have to check in at the podium and just them know that you have the reservation and would like to go up early for the fireworks, then they will send someone to escort you up and tell you where to go. Enjoy!

OK, three hour limit. Another problem then. I have a 4 hour fishing trip scheduled leaving from the Contemporary and since there is no Disney transportaion at 6:30 in the morning, I will be driving over. I have to assume I will be permitted to park for that. There will also be no transoportation when we are done with dinner, which is why we are driving. By the way, I'll also be using valet parking.

They may make exceptions, not sure. Your best bet would be to call the Contemporary directly to see if they issue longer parking passes or what they recommend. You could always park at the TTC and monorail over, but this may require you to move your car to the CR at some point depending on how your schedule meshes with the MK schedule. Or maybe another poster will happen along with a better answer.

Parking at the resort and visiting the park is the problem.

The other option is to take a bus to MK, walk to the Contemporary, bus to DTD after and bus back to Board Walk. No car needed...

I think the part of your post which people are missing is you said you plan to use valet parking. The 3 hour parking pass would not be an issue. If you pay for valet parking, you are not given a time limit.

Aaaaahh, now thats the answer I was hoping to hear. But I will call the CR first just to make sure. Don't want to get there and be put in a bad situation which will lead to a bad mood quick.

Please let us know what they say. I do think it will be okay, as valet parking costs the same as parking at the theme park. Resort self parking, which is free and with limited space, is a different story.
