Beachbound! Digging my toes in the sand....

Well....We were strolling through Lowe's and started talking about remodeling sooner than we were planning--next thing I knew we're heading to Florida in TWO WEEKS instead of Gatlinburg in a month--I'm so excited! I'm a Beach Girl---plus I'm redoing my kitchen in Disney again! :woohoo: :mjump: And the hated wallpaper is GOING!!!
Ft. Walton, Destin? Talk to me, people--have not stayed either of these places. Love the typical beach experience--want to be in the heart of things and on the beach. Any advice, beachcombers?:vacation:

I grew up in Destin, and might be a bit biased, but you will not find a better beach. The best sand and water, hands down. Give it a try, you and yours will love it.:thumbsup:

Someone at school mentioned that traffic in Destin is really something. Anybody experienced this? Or should it be much better now that the main season is ending?

It should be better now that school has started. I prefer Orange Beach, it's closer, more family orientated and less expensive. Of course you can't beat Destin for the most beautiful beaches.
