Sept. 1, 1950 – Disney’s Donald Duck cartoon “Hook, Lion and Sinker” was released.
Sept. 1, 1958 – The “Dairy Bar” Food Facility sponsored by the American Dairy Association closed in Tomorrowland at Disneyland.
Sept. 1, 1983 – The Disney Channel’s 125 – episode TV series “Donald Duck Presents” debuted.
Sept. 1, 1989 – Disneyland welcomed its 300-millionth guest, Claudine Masson.
Sept. 1, 1993 – Disney announced that AT&T has renewed its sponsorship of Spaceship Earth at Epcot in WDW.
Sept. 1, 2000 - Pooh’s Hunny Hunt opened at Fantasyland in Tokyo Disneyland.
Sept. 1, 2002 – “The Disney Poster Book” by Tony Anselmo (the voice of Donald Duck who originally Joined Disney as an animator) was published by Hyperion Press.
Sept. 1, 2003 – Disney Editions book on rare memorabilia “Disney Treasures” was released in bookstores.
Sept. 1, 2003 – Tokyo Disneyland presented “Blazing Rhythms” (a spectacular nightly show) through Sept. 19.
Sept. 1, 2005 – Disney Editions released Ridley Pearson’s “the Kingdom Keepers.” The suspense thriller is about five teenagers who end up inside WDW after dark, and must solve a riddle in order to save the park from the dark side of Walt Disney’s imagination.
