Lunar Eclipse Pictures

We've been talking about the lunar eclipse the last two nights. I stayed up until 3:00am watching and taking some pictures. I don't have the type of camera I really needed for it, but went ahead and tried. Some of you wanted to see these, so here it goes. Here is the directory they are in:

The pictures labeled Moon1 through Moon4 are mine. The pictures labels lunareclipse-series1 & 2 are obviously not mine. But they were taken by professionals and it shows the phases of the moon.

It was spooky outside. The sky was so clear and so bright. The moon even tonight is very bright. You could see a lot of stars which is unusual for us this time of the year. There also was no noises of any kind. Was waiting for that werewolve to jump out of the bushes. :secret:

Thanks for sharing Chescat! I was not able to see it. We have a lot of tall trees and the moon was low on the horizon. I did try though.

Thanks! I heard it was going to be great on the west coast; not so much on the east. I didn't stay up waiting for it (I was too tired!).

I meant to get up a 4:30 to watch it by my house but I was just to tired and forgot.

My hubby got up at 5:00 a.m. to see it. He tried to wake me and I said no thank you. Now, I wish that I did.

I usually get up for these things. I decided if I woke up in the night I'd go look, otherwise I'd pass. Because I'm surrounded by trees and hills, getting a good look may have been impossible without going for a car ride.
