I have never been on the barnstormer... I have seen that it is a kids coaster, so I just never went on it. I have a 2.5 year old who will be nearly 3 when we go in Nov. He wants to go on a roller coaster like nobody's business. He is a big kid (over 40 inches tall). Will I be able to take him on it, or should I stay away from it all together and focus his attention on something else?

I'm 25 and a whoppin' 5'3" and I have ridden and loved the ride! What's especially great about the ride is that the lines are usually short, and the ride although short, is easy to ride over and over again! I took 5 8-9 little girls on this ride last summer and it was a favorite among them!! Have fun!:mickey:

The height limit is 35" on this ride so that shouldn't be a problem. My friend just took her almost 3yo on it last week and they LOVED it! :mickey:

As long as it's a kids ride and something he meets the requirements for and wants to ride a roller coaster let him try it. Just a heads up though, your knees might be touching your chin, but it's worth it to see the smile on your kids face.

Don't tell anyone, but it is one of my favorite rides. Thank goodness I have DS13 and DDs6 to use as an excuse to ride it!

weve never tried it , but well probably give it a shot on our upcoming trip, were really trying to focus on the small things that weve never done and always seem to skip

The Barnstormer is a great "first" coaster for any age.
My DS12 is my roller coaster buddy for all the big rides...and my DD5 gets me in on the little ones.
first out the gate the Barnstormer cars slowly climb up a typical roller coaster incline...clack, clack, clack...the excitement builds...
My little girl screams "Yahoo...hold on to your feet!"

That is now a family catch phrase.

enjoy

Oh yes indeed you can go on Barnstormer! I still go on by myself or with DH even though are kids are grown. I really enjoy this (extreamly short)ride. Disney had a TV show during their 25 yr celebration. George Foreman was one of the comentators. One of my favorite memories from that series was Big 'ol George on the Branstormer. If George can fit you likely will be able to as well. :mickey:

make sure you let the people working that it is their first roller coaster ide, they give out little cards that say something like, my 1st coaster, Goofy's Barnstomer or something like that....

enjoy

What time of day do you go on this?

Everytime i go on this, i have to waint in like a 2 hour line. That is why we hardly ever go on it.

My DD3 rode it in July because she was so excited to be big enough to ride a roller coaster. Her cousin (7) rode with her with the grown ups behind them. She was OK, but had her cousin not been there, I think the ride would have ended in tears. It does offer mini-roller coaster effects, which is why adults love it. Just an FYI---she now says it was her favorite ride, but the scared pout she wore when getting off said different!:mickey:

Great news. Looking forward to bringing my Nephew on board next year for his first roller coaster ride.

I'm sure he'll love it! If he is over 40", you might also take him on Splash Mountain or Test Track over at Epcot. Our youngest has been riding them since he was 2 and LOVES them. Barnstormer will be a great test!

My son has ridden it the past 3 times we have been and he has enjoyed it every single time. It is a short roller coaster, but lots of fun. I am sure he will enjoy it.

I am 40 years old and love Barnstormer. My whole family does DD 17, DD 14 and DS 11. DH also enjoys it, although at 6'1 his knees are to his chin.
