Figaro luuuuuves me! A little birdy told me. :D
That would be Frankie, who appeared in one short with figaro and was never seen again. In that short Figaro tried to eat him. Are you sure you want to believe what Frankie the canary tells you? :D

When did T&G become the target? How much did Pogo and Alex pay?!
I can take it - give it your best shot!
So whats for dinner? I'm off to feed my family for the week. How does Alaskan salmon on the grill sound? (of course our vegetarian POGO would rather have steak! :D) How about some double chocolate chunk cookies for dessert? With coffee (of course) - or better yet, a Mocha. (do you see a trend?)
Who are you talking about?
Wow..... are you a reading teacher ? If so..... go back and read it again. Lil sisters are such a pain.
Since T&G is not living up to her end of the bargain I'll get us cookies while I'm out, okay? Wish I had lemon bars instead. :(
Oh Pogo - shall I bring my darts next April? Figaro thinks I should as you were talking about someone standing on a cats tail! :thedolls: Still it is a large place: maybe you could hide?Hey.... I'm not afraid of cats or dogs or whatever Figaro is. I'm just happy to finally meet Royalty. Do I bow or what ? :D
Yes, let's get him Mikki. That Pogo is quite the character. Can I be on Figaro's side?
That figures..... you use pink golf balls so you take the lady's side. :D
I was thinking about making some lemon bars. Would those suffice?
They aren't quite cookies, but they are quite tasty.
Rhonda....... thank you for the lemon bars.
Figaro luuuuuves me! A little birdy told me.
Oh great....... was it Tweety Bird..... oops.... wrong park ! :D

Yeah...... you are a tough chocoholic that thinks she can take on the world. That's pretty neat.

DH thinks all of the time on the computer is for making the detailed WDW plans for next March :D - that is until I laugh at the computer....then he just thinks I'm nuts. :funny:
I tell Olivia, "Mommy has to do some work on the computer" to get my I-COT time in. Then she'll creep up behind me and say, "But isn't that Minnie Mouse?" BUSTED!
Ok.... but that is three people. Don't you need another name in there like "Tink,Goofy & IForgottheQuestion"? :D
:funny:
Who's going to watch the NFL today?
Why would I do that? Did I do something wrong that requires punishment?
Since T&G is not living up to her end of the bargain ;) I'll get us cookies while I'm out, okay?
Oooo, will you get some Sausalito's???

Well the Steelers did win today, didn't they?
In Pogo or Alex is my guess!:D
Oh dang, I was throwing the scissors and pins instead of darts. Are you 2 okay?
I was thinking about making some lemon bars. Would those suffice?
Lemon bars sound really good!! I think they'll do for me!!!
Got my three stockings sewn, I just need to add the embellishments. Okay, now where did my needle go? Pogo? Alex? Did I say that these stockings are not the typical Christmas colors or style?
Back to sewing, catch y'all later...

Who's going to watch the NFL today?
Not me... I'm was scrapbooking - but the men were all at the stadium, watching the Bills ALMOST beat the Broncos... but not so much. :(
Are you coming to see me ??
Not yet, hopefully someday!! Did you have a fun day without me??
I just realized my last post was number 500! Who's ready to celebrate?? Yes, I now have cookies!
Congrats on 500!! What kind did you make??
How is everyone tonight? We just got home awhile ago and the girls are off to sleep... and Dan and I are soon to follow. A day of beer and football for him, scrapbooking and pina coladas for me... we're beat!! :D (Oh, and let's see... 2 moms, 12 kids, some not genetically related to us... thus the pina coladas....;))
Not yet, hopefully someday!! Did you have a fun day without me??
Yes we did...... but it wasn't the same with out you. :(

One question....... who drove home ? :shake:
Don't worry... Dan did, but he always converts to diet soda during the 4th quarter, and then it's a 2 hour ride for him back to Rochester, and then a while before we head home... so he's always a good 4-5 hours from his last  before we even hit the road. :) Thanks for caring... me, on the other hand?? Well, I did put that last pina colada down before I got in the car... (just kidding... ;))
Thanks for caring...

Did you get much rain today in the Syracuse area ?
It looks like it was pretty steady.... it was raining when we left, and rained most of the way back -- and it's still raining, so I'm guessing it was a wash-out here, as well. Glad we didn't miss much... :rain:
What did you guys do all day in the rain??

Rain? What rain? It was 90 degrees today! (Just had to throw that in there, cause being from Oregon, we are usually the wet ones!:D). We are supposed to be in the 90s a good share of the week! What does everyone have planned for this week? Anything exciting?
So - what kind of cookies does everyone want? I have chocolate chip, chocolate chocolate chunk, and even Girl Scout Thin Mints (I have to keep them in the back of the freezer:secret:, or DH (and DDs) inhale, and POOF - they are gone:D).

We usually don't watch football here. I was raised you were either a Minnesota Viqueen or a Green Bay Slacker fan, so just to be difficult I liked the Steelers. My DH isn't into sports except for Formula 1 racing.

Just crawling in to say hi! There's no zooping for me on dial-up. :( Woke up this morning to a dead (or seriously ailing) wireless router and an ailing cable modem. I was able to get the cable modem working (no thanks to the Time Warner help desk), but now after working for our desktop all day it's not working for my laptop (which I only need for WORK tomorrow). Can you all hear my cries of frustration where you are?
Anyway, I'll be scarce until this all gets sorted out. I'll do my best to keep out of the cookies (though I might need drugs  by the time this is all through).
Please send IT pixie dust! Later!

Not much on the agenda for tomorrow. A few errands, another trip to the house (they made a few mistakes I have to tend to) and make an appt. to get my hair cut. I REALLY want to highlight it again (and cut a bit off), but I don't dare...the big meet is only a month away and Mary Poppins can't have blonde short hair, can she???

As far as this week - my girls start swimming, Julia starts horseback and Emma (hopefully) starts soccer... and I get to start horseback, too!! So for me, it's a very exciting week... I've been waiting a long time to get back in the saddle!! :horse: Other than that, we have an Open House at Julia's school, and hopefully, a little bit of down time...

Who's going to watch the NFL today?
Only when I couldn't get out of the way..did you see the hit on Everett though?
I'm sewing Christmas stockings!! Goodness it's only Sept! Shopping is one thing but sewing?
Anyone want to come out to the huge Costume Superstore in the west end with us today? I just can't find the time or energy to make all the costumes for our trip ... so Brian ordered his from Thailand (through e-bay), and we're going to see what we can see for Harry and I at the Superstore. I'm a little disappointed in myself -- but I'll get over it! Who brought the cookies anyway? Wasn't T&G supposed to??????????? Where is that? I may send my Mom there...
I was thinking about making some lemon bars. Would those suffice?

Whew, I need a nap! You guys really burnt up your keyboards over the weekend! It took me one hour to catch up!
What is down home country cooking? does it involve spaghetti again? Theres one near the airport in detroit and I was thinking of going there for lunch prior to our flight...Can you get a little bit more specific? Is it breakfast stuff? Sandwhiches? Meatloaf?
Ok, by now you probably don't even remember asking this.. but Bob Evans serves a bit of everything.. they offer breakfast items (wonderful biscuits and gravy) and their Pot Roast Hash is to die for! Sandwiches, meatloaf, chicken pot pie, pasta dishes, just all wonderful food! And in our area they have a Pumpkin Griddle Cake that is awesome!!!
I think tomorrow night I'll convince him it needs to be Popeye's or to take me out to eat.
Yum! They just opened a Popeyes near my office. Their chicken is wonderful! Do you wanna come have lunch with me?
I'll pass on the hot dog coney thing...I thought they had chili on them or something.
Here in the Cincinnati area if you ask for a coney dog - YES! You will get it with Cincy Style Chili on it! And mustard and onions and topped with a mound of shredded cheddar cheese!!!! Yum! (hmmm... all this talk of food is making my tummy growl!)
Do I smell Root beer ???
Yes Frankie - I opened a can of root beer this AM - it's sitting in my fridge waiting for you to claim it! (it's diet though - hope that's ok)
I'm here, so keep your shirts on (well, on second thought....
:nono: NON MOD ALERT: FAMILY FRIENDLY SITE!!!!! :nono:
To quote other JQ'ers... Ohhh, be-have!!
Um, did you forget to whom you are speaking? :D
DD's question tonight: "Would you die if you ate a cricket?"
No, you wouldn't die, but you would act a bit more chirper! :D
Figaro might go on strike and decide not to do a report. What do you think?
NOOOOOOOO!!!!! I LOVE reading Figaro's trip reports! Can Figaro's Union please enter into more negotiations and let's see if we can settle this strike?
have a great time and remember, Love is a wonderfull gift.... share it with someone today.
Who are you and what have you done with Pogo? :D
I finished the 150 cheesecakes by 10:30 last night -- but couldn't get to sleep until after 3 because I was worrying about transporting them.... DH helped me to change the wrappers and put the blueberries on top this morning..... I'm pleased with our effort! Have a great day everyone!
Were there any left for you to share with us?
You guys are having WAY to much fun....can I join?
Wishing you a belated welcome to the insanity!
Well, I'm guessing you all already know the outcome of today's soccer game...
What? You mean you couldn't hear me cheering from where you are???
They were never scored on (thanks largely in part to Olivia on defense!! ) and I truly lost count of our goals scored after 12.
What a way to kick off the season!
I'm off to make a fruit bowl for our team party this afternoon. Have a great day!
Yeah for Olivia's team! I did hear some rather loud noise - but I thought it was my neighbor's watching a ball game on tv or something...
Only if the little umbrella got caught in your throat.
Is it Monday yet? The honey-do's are about to kill me.
Too funny! Thanks for the chuckle! Oh, and Ken - it's Monday now!

Oh my! Everyone back quickly away from Pogo..

I don't think pink golf balls will help Pogo now.. unless you plan to hit them into his head until he is knocked unconcious - thus rendering him unable to feel Figaro's upcoming attack...:D

oooooo....... them thars fighting words 'round these parts....
Whew! I'm gonna go take a nap... I know I missed a bunch of stuff...
Ellen - lotsa luck on your computer issues...
Christine - congrats on getting a date for your closing....
Jenn - your boys are very handsome.. and you have such a beautiful family!
And Pogo.. love your new signature :archer:

Ok, by now you probably don't even remember asking this.. but Bob Evans serves a bit of everything.. they offer breakfast items (wonderful biscuits and gravy) and their Pot Roast Hash is to die for! Sandwiches, meatloaf, chicken pot pie, pasta dishes, just all wonderful food! And in our area they have a Pumpkin Griddle Cake that is awesome:nono: NON MOD ALERT: FAMILY FRIENDLY SITE!!!!! :nono:
Di thanks for the info! And did you know this idea of the shirts is legal here in Ontario? Not often seen but legal none the less..mind you I've often thought that it shouldn't be allowed either way..as one hardly ever spots say Orlando Bloom or similiar doing this..it's much more likely to be someone built like Tom Arnold
Mornig?? What is mornig?? Is that a Rochester'ism for cool & humid?
That would be a typo. :( Ever make one ? :D
Who are you and what have you done with Pogo? If you ever get an email from me, you will see that below the signature line. It's been there for about three years now.
What's wrong with that ?
And Pogo.. love your new signature :archer:Why thank you Diane......

I'm sorry, was someone talking about me?
OK, the sheetrock ceiling is down, the beaded board ceiling is painted, the walls and trim are painted (except for a few minor repairs to the cove moulding) and I'm almost done getting all the old and new paint off the floor. Also got several loads of laundry done and put away, started on the script for the Christmas musical (I'm writing the script, somebody else is writing the music), ushered at church, and watched Design Star. :faint:
Sure glad it's Monday.

I'd love to have lunch with you, Diane. I love Popeye's!! I think that'll be the one thing I miss when we move...but I can always have the DH bring it home with him on Friday's!!!
:haha::laughing: Good one, Diane.
Is it nap time yet?
Can you be here in half an hour? That's when I get my lunch break and we can run on down to Popeyes! My tummy is already growling! I'll even treat you!
Thanks, every once in awhile I come up with a good one...
And I WISH it were nap time! Anyone have any ideas on how to go about changing ALL the clocks in my office so it's time to go home?

Yeah, over the weekend I was driving home from my parents house and this OLD man (I'm talking 70s or 80s here.. was out in his yard without his shirt on... he had a bad case of "Dunlap" disease.... ugh! There oughta be a law.... only the Orlando Blooms/Lelands/Brad Pitts of this world should be allowed to go around shirtless!

Anyone have any ideas on how to go about changing ALL the clocks in my office so it's time to go home?We used to do that when we had classes in portables in High School .... I just come and go as I please now. :D For instance -- I just got here. I dropped Euan off for his first day of Nursery school this year -- he couldn't wait to get there! Of course just as we arrived, the fire alarm sounded (for a drill) and we had to evacuate to the field behind the school ... Needless to say, I missed the train I had originally planned on taking, and had to take the later one. I can't believe it's 11 o'clock already! Happy Monday everyone! What's up for the day????

Most of your golf apparel stores should have them. I don't know what places you have there, but we have places like Golf Galaxy, USA Golf, SpecialTee Golf, etc.

No E-reg here yet. Our ROD is very much up-to-date computer-wise, but state law has only recently allowed electonic registration and only the largest counties are ready. In fact, as soon as the sec. has it ready, I'm taking the D/T out shortly.

Good morning gang. :)
Hope nothing life changing has happened in the last 4 or 5 pages. Well, my daughter did it again. She scored for the team last night at a VERY tough course, tied for third on the team. She's scored for her team (finished top four, they take the top four scores for each school) in every match so far this season. She's far exceeded any expectations as a sophomore and her first year on varsity. Her parents, and coach, are very proud!
It's almost chilly out there this morning! Some rain ending also, but should be a decent day although breezy.
Coffee's on and hot and fresh folks. With it almost fall, can we have some hot chocolate too? Maybe with whipped cream? Yums!
Have a great day everyone!

When did you notice ? Yes, I did... you ladies were shooting arrows at a dart board so I thought I'd give you a better target. Well.... the pool thing is done...... and business is because of golf. If I stop golf... the business won't be as good. What to do, what to do. : Anyone else think it should be fish in a barrel? And golf/business thing..seriously? I'm pretty sure it's a myth..based on my game/results.
Coffee's on and hot and fresh folks.
Scott that's just amazing (I mean your daughter of course not the coffee but that's good too). It takes such dedication to get to that level. I'm sure you are very proud of her.
Who's jealous??
I think I'm ok...not sure about anyone else. Unless of course you are going to clean someone elses house like Rhonda's in which case I will get jealous!:D

:( Well, my "running out for the morning" turned into coming right back home... had everything I needed except my directions for where I need to go later from where I was headed first, and forgot my cell phone so I could call my friend and ask!! (Did that make any sense??) Then I realized I also had to check something else out online before I headed to the bank, so I just gave up and turned the car around and here I am. :fit: :bang: I will head back out soon, but still....
Scott, congrats to your daughter -- that is awesome. Someday when I see her on TV, I can say I knew her dad.... :D Thanks for the coffee - I think I'll mix mine w/ the hot chocolate!! Mmmmm!!
Christine, I'll be :mop: :laundry: with you later... so nope, no jealousy there... ;)

So how was everyone's Monday?
It was HOT, dry and windy here. Mid 90's with humidity of only 11%, and the wind blowing strong. No outside grilling tonight - we've been red flagged since the fire danger is EXTREME. Guess that means I have to cook !
So whats for dinner? (I know for most of you its past dinnertime, but hey, I just got home -and of course the kids are clamoring (just had to get a few minutes of I-COT in first !)
My Monday was ok. My Tuesday I THINK is ok... haven't quite woken up yet...
It's nice here.. we've finally dropped below the 90 degree mark. It'll actually be in the 40s tonight.. then no higher than 82 for the rest of the week!
Dinner for me last night was a Bertolli meal - the Chicken Parmesan - quite tasty actually. I'm thinking of making soup tonight..
Yep - so we are doing both next year!:D WDW in March (with everyone else), and Maui late July!
I don't scare away that easy! Besides, SOME of us have to actually work all day and can't I-COT the whole day!
wow! Hawaii AND WDW!!! That's awesome! Please make sure you tell Dog the Bounty Hunter, Leland, Beth and the rest of the gang that I said hello! (and ask them how much they would charge to guard all our cookies! :D)
And I do actually work all day.. I jump on I-COT in between phone calls from customers and such. Luckily my cubicle sits with a wall behind my back so it's hard to see what I'm doing on the computer...
I may have spoken too soon. DD has plans to go to Costa Rica on an exchange with a Spanish group in June, and has now told me that her choir is going to San Diego in April (of course, funded by yours truly).
I may have to make the tough choice. Which would you pick, WDW or Hawaii???
Well, I think I would choose Hawaii, that seems more of a 'once in a lifetime' trip.. where Disney would be more feasible to go every year... if I had the money we'd be going to Hawaii next year for our 15th anniversary, but alas... looks like we'll be hitting Gatlinburg again...
We formally received our new address today, since our townhouse is in a development and it's still being built. One of these days I'll need to post my newest pictures.
Do we need to hide the cookies?
Congrats on getting your new address! Do you need the help of the JQ Demo, er, I mean remodel crew to finsh the townhouse off?
And hiding the cookies won't help around here.. I think Alex has a special scent gland in his nose.. he can pick up the scent cookies from millions of miles away... we need to hire a special cookie guard.. HEY! Did you read where Herrods is using Cobras to guard their 'priceless' items? Think we should get a few for our cookie stash?
Mikki, were you so riled up that you forgot your question?
Since she was defending Figaro I vote that we let her off the hook this time... anyone second my vote?
OK....who is making the pancakes and waffles this morning?
Can we please have some blackberry crepes? And some nice country ham... and some bacon, oh, and how about some eggs....

It's almost chilly out there this morning! Some rain ending also, but should be a decent day although breezy.
Coffee's on and hot and fresh folks. With it almost fall, can we have some hot chocolate too? Maybe with whipped cream? Yums!
Have a great day everyone!
Morning to you too Scott! Congrats to Lauren! She is just doing so well! If we ever manage to get together to play a round of putt putt I claim Lauren on my team!!! :D
It's beautiful here too! Feels like a perfect fall day! I LOVE this weather! Hot chocolate sounds good, but how about a Pumpkin Spice Cappachino?
I'm absolutely zapped today....can barely keep my eyes open. I really needed that coffee!
I'm feeling zapped today too... hmmm.. maybe we should all take a nap instead of drinking coffee?
I hope you all have a good Tuesday! I get to clean the house.

Just imagine how the patient feels! :D
Your doctors do C-sections at night? Was it an emergency?
Actually, I think if I offered her food, she'd ....
It wasn't an emergency, but urgent - her medical issues warranted getting the baby out for both of their sakes. Little 28 week boy, but doing well!!
did you win the computer fight??:D

No, I can't believe it's coming up so quickly... but I am SO glad!! I seemed like forever away when we finally decided to go!!
No, we've never been to MNSSHP.... I've heard such awesome things about it, I just can't wait. Is it really as great as everyone says?

You haven't? Oh honey, you must rectify this ASAP! That is one of my favorite little treats for myself! They have wonderful chairs that massage your back and neck, they have whirpool pedi tubs that relax your feet, and you have soft pretty feet and toes when it's all over! :cloud9:
So I see by your signature you're going BACK to Disney the month after I-COT bash? Lucky you!

I hear some pretty good things about pedicures from friends here, too - and believe me, I'd love one!! Between flip-flops all summer and walking so much, my poor feet need some attention!! Maybe I'll treat myself before our trip... :cloud9:
Now see, there you go w/ the reading thing again... we're not going back to WDW 'til next year November -- I sure wish it was this year!! (So do my girls!! they're staying home w/ Grandma during our October trip, but being very nice about it, I must admit.... probably trying to earn brownie points for a souveneir or two....;)) We'd wanted to take them this Christmastime, but between this trip and saving for our house, we couldn't justify it - although I'd sure like to try!! My DH is SO well behaved.... :shake:

Chocolate chocolate chunk? YUM! A woman after my own heart, er, stomache.
Did everyone sleep well? Except Blythe who probably hasn't been to bed. I think Christine needs to sleep in today after the reading problems last night, whatcha think? ;)
It's downright chilly out there this morning, upper 40s. I'm not ready to let summer go yet, but it may be leaving anyways.
Coffee's starting to brew, should be hot and fresh for all who want it. Have a great Wednesday gang!

The I-COT bash in only one month away!!! :woohoo:

Yea! That will help everytime and a good night sleep helped too! Thank you!
Did you find enough liquor boxes?
As well it should be. Dad would say "got my coffee ready women" ?
I hope you don't have what my DW had...... she said that when she was pregnant.
I would never do that to the best little sister I never had. I'd do it to you..... but not
her.
I guess it's a good thnd in my house the man doesn't ask for coffee!
:(My daughters are now grown. I don't think that is the reason I felt bad last night!

Yes, it's been a very slow day.. been a very weird 'school start up' season.. usually we are so busy we can't even get up to run to the bathroom... but this year it's been quite manageable.. I don't know if it's cause we've FINALLY got our customers trained.. or if our outside sales force are FINALLY taking up their slack and taking their own customers orders instead of telling them to call us.
So, what (or who ;)) can we talk about to pass away the time?

Is Adventurers Club on Thursday night the official and/or only JQ meet? I don't think I can do the AC.
We can always make other plans if you can't do AC... plus it might not be appropriate for the kids. Ideas, anyone? We're still a bit undecided on Thursday during the day but are definitely open to suggestions!
Oh, and I booked two nights at WDW prior to our cruise. :muscles: Ben and I are pretty excited about that as well.

Oh well, if it is, I'll just meet you guys at the regular meet (they just may think we're bizarre rambling on about our love of cookies and pink balls!) :D
I want to go to the AC! Are we going there Thursday night? How can we twist your arm to go to the AC? But I can go anytime we aren't having a meet. Does anyone know another kid friendly place?
I can ! But I have one question...... can you even play the ukelale ? :D
Would you rather play the ukelele?:D You must be thinking about the Christmas Carol Luau.

How about the new girl, T&G ? I here she has BIG feet and BIG ears.... at least that's what Alex told me !

As for the other rumors - I KNOW Alex wouldn't have started them, I shared my cookies with him - you know, the CHOCOLATE kind? :D
A rather draining day at work today. Guess I'll just sit here with my computer this evening. Still trying to find some cheap airfare for our March WDW trip. Anyone know of any good airfare specials?

Welcome back "new girl". :D

Flying from Portland (or Seattle, if the price is right). Almost any airline (except I think AirTran).
Hey - you may know the answer - my DH has to go to Toronto at the end of the month (I want to go too!!). He doesn't have his passport. He just found out about the trip, and doesn't have a current passport - and may not have everything he needs to even apply for one this quickly. If he flies into Buffalo, can he drive across the border without a passport?

I think he can find out by calling a rental car place. Isn't the best bet to get the passport so he can fly directly into Toronto? I know its short notice - but I have some connections - so there is still a chance.

One of my high school girls convinced me to make a Halloween costume for a store display, so I'm thinking of a pirate theme.
Do you know if a rental car company will allow a rental car to be taken over the border?
Before the DH and I were married, he was living in Rochester, he rented a car from Alamo and picked up the DD and myself from Toronto.
Um, Jenn, do you think you'll be a little too close to Alex? I'm having nightmares of his pink shorts, green tube top and pink golf balls. I think we may have to have an intervention from Stacy and Clinton.

I looked at Hertz and they say their cars can be taken into Canada,
I think it would be better with a passport and flying into Toronto as long as his company is paying for it. It will be much more expensive flying R/T into Canada than it would be flying into Buffalo and driving in.
Also.... I looked at Southwest for March Airfares and they are only quoting up to March 7. Do you have "Ding" ? If not, I suggest downloading it. Also.... why not Air Tran ? We love them out of Rochester. :D

This time I get to be 'playwrite'. It'll be a normal musical; songs interspersed with the dialog. Did you want to be Tiny Tim? Or do you want to be one of the ghosts?
Um....if there's singing involved I don't think I should be either... unless you don't mind your audience running screaming from the theater...
How chatty you all were since yesterday! I have nothing interesting to contribute --- What a busy day it was here in Ajax -- Spent the morning at school with Harry's old class, then ran Euan to Speech and Occupational Therapy this afternoon before retrieving Harry again for his Speech and Language class, then to get my niece for her dance class, then to the grocery store for taco fixins' then we were finally home at about 5:15. I didn't even have time to visit the ladies room until then!! I can't imagine if I didnt' have Wednesday's "off" from work. How would I get these guys where they need to go??????? Is there any cappuccino left????

Thanks, Pogo. That's funny about the "expensive" comment. Olivia gets an allowance now, and loves to spend it in the bookstore. The dual price thing is a bone of contention here in these parts.... since our dollar is so strong right now, we are paying far to much exchangewise on books and cards and the likes. I would rather pay the US prices too! That Olivia is a smart cookie!

Also.... why not Air Tran ? We love them out of Rochester.
I don't think I'd fly AirTran if they paid ME to fly them. I seem to remember a flight that my DH took out of JFK going over to LAX that was scheduled with them. When he finally made it through the check-in line (mind you, this was before the days of online check-in), they told him that he had 40 minutes to get to the other side of JFK because his flight was cancelled and they put him on a much, much earlier flight with American. Thank goodness we had gotten to the airport super early, but making it over to the other side of JFK with a baby in tow was no easy feat. That kind of customer service doesn't earn fans.
That's too funny! Are you sure he doesn't already lurk here? Maybe he was trying to figure out if you are THE Drummerboy from JQ and so he used that term to gauge your response?
We do seem to have a lot of lurkers on this thread. Di just might be on to something!
Yeah but..... Deb isn't that young ! Isn't she like 54 or more ?
You are in sooo much trouble! I'm going to run over you with my hover round!!
It is not wise to add years to YOUR YOUNGER sister's age!
I can vouch that Deb is no where near 54 because we share the same birthday (except I'm one year older) and not even I am 54! :nope: Besides, what's wrong with 54?
I would love to meet you there... we have dinner plans, but would be able to meet afterwards. I might even be persuaded to have a chocolate milkshake at Ghiradellis ..... mmmmmmm
Okay... I could be convinced as well. (Twist my arm.) Did anyone note how a certain JQer just happened to mention Ghiradelli's proximity to the :marg: Somehow I don't think all of us will be imbibing cold dairy products. ;) I can't wait to meet you all.
Here is some New York :pixie: for Olivia..... I hope she feels better, soon !
Take that that's UPSTATE NY pixie dust he's sending. Tell Olivia we're sending her some Brooklyn :pixie: which will beat up all the mean germs that are getting her down.
Ken, I think we should send an emergency shipment of root  to Frankie in case he needs it after Hurricane Humberto.
DS not only banged his knee into the backseat cupholder this morning on the way to school, he missed a step on the stairs and ended up falling and spraining his ankle. It's not bad enough to warrant a trip to the ER, but it is bad enough for him to be hobbling around. Poor kid! He didn't want them to call me because I was at the hospital to get treatment (which I didn't get but that's another story).
On that note, who has leftovers? I don't feel like cooking anything for just me.

A little too quiet out there... anybody home?
I was just wondering how many of us JQ'er are going to be at home for the 10th Anniversary meet?
I know I'll be here.
Nope - not this time. :sadwave::nope::crying:
Ok, but what have you done for me lately? :D

Tonight is open house at the middle school. Each kid goes to a different school, so after tonight I'll have two more to go! To make matters worse, they don't have the same days off - even though they are in the same district! Anyone else dealing with having kids in more than one school?

If someone HAPPENED to get lost and was to go to either venue to ask directions, well, it'd be plain rude not to buy something from them, right???

Hi guys... I've missed you!! :( I tried about 4 times last night at work to log on and post... the first two, I actually had done my whole post before finding out it wouldn't take it... kept going to an error page...... then I kept trying to just log in, and it wouldn't even let me do that!! I was quite annoyed, as last night was REALLY busy, and by the time I had a moment to relax, I was really looking forward to checking in!!
Today was crazy... I slept, got up to take Julia to her first riding lesson and then headed straight home to go right back out to her school for "Curriculum Night" and then back home to help get the girls tucked in. So forgive me for not replying to as many posts as I usually do - I'm just too tired tonight!

We have ADR's at Fulton's for 6pm, and then we were going to head to PL, but we could definitely do a meet at Ghiradelli's first! We're there!!
Ooops... seeing I have a PM.... I'll send a note back there, too --
Hope you guys are all having a good night - I feel a little out of the loop, but I'll catch up tomorrow.
(But I can't miss wishing Mikki a  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope your day was great!!)
Who's got the coffee in the am?? I'll make some :mickey: waffles...

Sandy, welcome back... we have missed you. You haven't seen Lynne around anywhere in the parks, have you (like hanging out with a certain pirate)?
I do need a hug, as a matter of fact. Not getting treatment yesterday was definitely not a good thing. :( Please just keep me in your thoughts (I'm having a new-to-me medical test and will be getting results on Monday). It could be very serious or it could be just a temporary bump in the road. Even though I'm trying to be a "big girl" about all of this, I'm kinda scared.
I'll definitely tell Ben about having a Humpty-Dumpty day. I'm keeping him home from school today so he'll be all better. Let's just say that last night's lesson in how to swallow a pill didn't go well. A :marg: probably would have done the trick (I just won't say for whom).
So, who else thinks that we just may spend the next three weeks trying to decide when/where to meet at WDW? Sandy, what's your work schedule that weekend? Do you know yet? Can you come out and play? You know we're counting on you to keep us supplied with :bar:

Golly, you have been talking a lot while I have been away overnight! A meet at Ghiardellis and AC? Fun idea! So who will come to that? How many JQers do we have going to the big meet? Only 16 days till I fly out! :cloud9:
I do need a hug, as a matter of fact. Not getting treatment yesterday was definitely not a good thing. :( Please just keep me in your thoughts (I'm having a new-to-me medical test and will be getting results on Monday). It could be very serious or it could be just a temporary bump in the road. Even though I'm trying to be a "big girl" about all of this, I'm kinda scared.
Do I have to drive down to NY to give you a hug in person ? If that is what it takes, I'll do it. You'll be O.K. Prayers work.
I didn't get home until almost midnight.... then I was all chatty and poor Brian had to listen to me ramble on ... I've PM'd Brian and told him where to find ear plugs. :D
Hey - have I mentioned to you that I'm going to DISNEYLAND in November???? And that my friend is paying for my trip for my birthday gift!
I hope your hubby doesn't find out about him.
You said it baby!

Yes, well, I need to stay out the parks for one day, so I am going to DD on arrival day. Very limited dining down there (especially with the Dining Plan). How can you go wrong with Surf 'n Turf?
Jealous? C'mon Banker Babe. Don't you wish you could look as good as I do in that outfit? :D

ah hem..in order...
1. Wolf gang pucks express is at least and it's so much better (and yet still has beer and wine if thats critcal for you)
2. It is to laugh
3. Nah the really cool ones are going the week before..you know to get in on the fun without all the crowds.
What's for lunch?
franks and beans..at a fundraiser though. The things I do for work. (how I can go from goat cheese stuffed figs, shrimp, veal, etc the night before to that just boggles the mind doesn't it?)

I've PM'd Brian and told him where to find ear plugs. :DI used to be your favourite! Where did it go wrong????
franks and beans..at a fundraiser though. I could eat the beans (in tomato sauce -- sans pork s'il vous plait!) -- franks should be banned IMHO. Any goat cheese figs left? That's my idea of YUM! I ended up with Chicken on a bun from the Italian place downstairs -- with peppers and mushrooms and onions and red sauce... It's my favourite take away meal down here.

So let me guess.. You drank too much wine on your birthday, got drunk, and couldn't find your way back home ? Cool.... I knew you were my kind of girl ! :D

I'm sorry if you think I'm bragging... but actually, if you read my posts I was 'bragging' only to Alex who was rubbing it in about his trip - so if you are upset then it serves you right since you were 'eavesdropping' on a private conversation! :D At your age you should know better! :D
Oh yeah? Well your private was interfering with my public (hope you've been watching Last Comic Standing--otherwise that might not make much sense. :D) And at my age, I already forgot more than I ever knew. Wait...
Ooops.. wish you would've told me not to start the cloning already... there are definitly a few 'bugs' to iron out.. in fact, there's about 500 little blue bugs that look a bit like Stitch running around town...
[Is ready to use clone control module, but might wait until November.]

And at my age, I already forgot more than I ever knew. Wait...You're sounding dangerously like Pocahontas ..... :hide:
Have you ever considered this....what if the Hokey Pokey really IS what it's all about?
Do we have beer? How about a :marg: ?

:haha: Can I borrow some monitor cleaner please ? :funny:
