Spectro or MSEP

Inspired by the "Spectro The Truth" Thread, I thought it would be cool to see which comes out tops! :)

Hands down - Main Street Electrical Parade.

I just saw it again last week at California Adventure. :cloud9: Much better than Spectro.

I saw the MSEP before I saw Spectro, so maybe that's why I prefer MSEP. I just think it's prettier. Maybe I'm just old-fashioned. I wish they would bring it back to the MK.

I LOVE the Main St Electrical Parade. I think that's the best parade I've ever seen.....and the music. Oh how it brings back memories.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the Electric Parade at Magic Kingdom was replaced by the SpectroMagic parade in the early 1990's. My high school marching band got to open these parades (My best and first Disney memory). I think for my 1991 trip it was called the Main Street Electrical Parade and in 1993 the SpectroMagic Parade. I love the Baroque Hoedown music for the Main Street Electric Parade so I voted for this parade as my favorite.

I agree. I saw MSEP during my first few trips to WDW as a child and loved everything about it (especially the music)! :cloud9: While I love Spectro, MSEP will always hold a special place in my heart!

MSEP was great... but, things come to an end.... We must move on.. SpectroMagic is spectacular... better music that MSEP.... My vote went to Specto....

The Main Street Electrical Parade music is funky and interesting, but SpectroMagic is probably a better show.

I voted for Spectro...always liked it better. I never liked the MSEP music.

Actually, I asked this exact same question in the Year of 100 Questions a few weeks back. MSEP took it with about 63% of the vote. It'll be interesting to see if you get a similar result:

I tend to have "selective memory" on discontinued attractions/rides/parades, and I build them up over time. I did love the Electrical Parade, and I love Spectromagic, but I had to vote Spectromagic. When I look at video/pictures of the two, Spectromagic is truly awesome.

Defintley Spectro Magic! The parade is wayyyyyyy better than the MSEP (in my opinion) and I love those glowing chucky face dolls there's somthing whimsical about them..
