Do you need cash for the F&WF "taster booths"? Or will they let you charge it to your room?

If you have provided for a credit line on your room key card at check-in, you will be able to use the card at the F&WF kiosks.

I thought some were equiped to handle charging and some weren't. I'd have a little cash on hand just in case.

Several Intercotees reported back last year that some of the kiosk computers weren't operating properly and you needed cash to be able to purchase. I would definitely have cash on hand - you don't want to miss anything good!

Yeah, last year a few of the booths were cash only. :(

So, if you need cash, whats a good range per booth? And if you're on the DP and using your snack credits, was there a problem with those, too? :mickey:

At any point in which the wireless system is down, DDP credits and room charges will both be offline.

The two of us usually spend about $70 on a booth-sampling day in which we have a TS dinner.

Price per item per booth varies a little bit. The range tends to be $2.50 to $4.75 (last year) for food items and about $2.50 to $5.00 for wine/beer. Planning about $6 per person per booth is not a bad average.

Not really. It adds up quick. Think $5 per glass of wine/beer with 2 glasses each you're already up to $20 and you haven't even had any food yet. It sounds like a lot but when you break it down and really think about it, it really isn't that bad.

I don't remeber any of the booths not being able to accept cards last year. Must have been at the few booths I didn't hit! Anyway......I think budgeting $70 for a day of "grazing", as my sister and I call it, is about right. I happen to like the many wine offering the F&W Festival has so the amount I spend would be a little more. :wine: Luckily, we have the DDP so we save our snack credits and use them for just this purpose. Enjoy!

We encountered 3 booths last year that was not able to take the room charge because the system was down. We try to get at least 2 items from each booth and the 4 of us share it. That way we all get to try something from each station. And it lets the boys sample items they may never get to try.

It adds up pretty quick if you're wandering and snacking all day. About four wine or beer samples at an average of $4, five or six food items each at an average of $3. A couple of desserts and a 12oz Dos Equis and Baam! For two people, about $70.
