July 30, 1986 – The Disney film “Flight of the Navigator” was released.
July 30, 1990 – Disney’s unsold pilot for the TV series “The Knife & Gun Club” aired on ABC.
July 30, 1993 – “Indiana Jones et le Temple du Peril” opened in Adventureland at Disneyland Paris
July 30, 1998 - Disney launched its first cruise ship the “Disney Magic”.
July 30, 1999 – FastPass began at WDW’s “Space Mountain,” and “Splash Mountain” at the Magic Kingdom.
July 30, 1999 – “Rock’n’Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith,” officially opened to guests as part of the property-wide expansion in Disney World history. The indoor roller coaster features a high-speed launch of 0-60 MPH in 2.8 seconds, three inversions, rock concert lighting and a specially created Aerosmith soundtrack blasting from 120 on board speakers in each coaster-train-all firsts for a WDWattraction.
July 30, 1999 – The
Disney/Touchstone/Paramount film “Runaway Bride” was released.
July 30, 2004 – The Disney/Touchstone Pictures film “The Village” was released.
July 30, 2005 – The Disneyland Resort Alumni Club held a 50th Reunion Dinner at the Disneyland Hotel Grand Ballroom for former Cast Members.
July 30, 2006 – The Walt Disney World Resort began phasing out the acceptance of personal checks at all merchandise locations.
