I also elected the cash back instead of the extra points... So, on February 1, 2008, I will own 280 points... enough for next year and the year after...

We felt the same way when we first bought in, but when we scheduled that first vacation it felt so right.

As far as how fast the DVC resorts fill up, that depends on when you want to go, where you want to stay, where you are in the 11 month/7 month window, and how flexible you are.

We just joined last November (December use year) and have made two trips (SSR and OKW). I wanted to stay at BWV for our September trip but it was all booked up for what we wanted. I'm wait listed, but will stay at OKW if we don't get BWV. I really like OKW so I won't be devastated. As long as you are flexible, you should have no problem booking a trip. I always have a couple of different options ready for when I call MS.
