Does anyone know if you get discounts on the cruise when your buying instead of using points .

Thanks

No, unfortunately you do not. :(
I did ask when I booked our cruise.
For that reason I booked with Magical Journeys instead.

They did not have any AP discounts either.

No, no discounts. I used points for my husband and I, and paid cash for my kids. They were the same price as any 3rd and 4th person would be.

38 more days . . . first time cruisers! :joy:

You are gonna L.O.V.E. the cruise. We did it as part of our honeymoon and had the time of our lives. Have fun. :D

But don't you need an astronomical amount of points for a cruise?

I know most DVC owners here on Intercot don't think a cruise is the best use of points. Our 4-night Bahama cruise from 9/2 - 9/6/07 in a Cat. 6 room was 258 points for my husband and I, then paid cash for my DS 17 and DD 10. I don't know if that's an astronomical amount of points or not, but it's really the only way we could do the cruise. (I was anxious to have one more family vacation before my son goes off to college next year and no longer wants to vacation with his lame family. :D)
