Less than a week to go...

There are a couple of night time cruises offered at WDW: Wishes Cruise and Illuminations Cruise. If you've been on both, which do you prefer and if you haven't been on either, which one would you be most likely to try?

Y100Q95 will be the last Dining question and will likely be posted on Wednesday.

Illuminations Cruise just because i like Illuminations better..that would be sooo nice..but ill probably never pay that kind of money just to watch the fireworks from a boat..:mickey:

I voted for the Wishes Cruise.

I think I'll go with Illuminations. There are already so many great places to see wishes. We don't usually get a very good view of Illuminations. It would be awesome to see it from that vantage point.:mickey:

I'd go with the Wishes cruise just because I think that there is so much more to see on that lake than there is going from the BC/YC to see Illuminations. You'd get to see all of the "monerail resorts" lit up at night and if your really lucky maybe the Electrical Water Parade will be passing by. :fworks:

We loved the Illuminations cruise!

Made for a very nice relaxing evening viewing!

Illuminations is a better show. If I'm going to invest time at MK, it will be on the rides with shorter lines while others are on the cruise or just watching Wishes.

I voted for Illuminations. We can never seem to get a very good view unless we start picking out our spot waaaaaaay in advance. So, it would be nice to be able to be able to just get on a boat and cruise on in for the fireworks and not have to sit hours before just to reserve our spot!:fworks:

I said Illuminations because I can never get a good spot. And part of the joy of Wishes for me is watching the effects they do on the castle during the show.

I went with Wishes, just because I've seen Illuminations up close from the patio at Rose & Crown. I would love to have the perfect veiwing of Wishes. That would be really nice.

135 more days!!

Wishes for me. The Seven Seas lagoon is bigger so you can actually cruise around in there.

I went with Wishes. Have never done either, but if my brother-in-law and his family end up going with us our next trip, we're thinking about doing the Wishes cruise.

I voted for Illuminations. My dbf and I did an Illuminations cruise last year and loved it!

We chose the Illuminations cruise because the show originates on the water, so seeing it from a boat docked inside EPCOT gives you a birds-eye view. It was really spectacular!

Part of seeing Wishes for me is being on Main St. with the castle right there in front of me...

My vote went to wishes fireworks cruise! We love this cruise. There is nothing more magical than watching wishes with Cinderella's Castle in the backdrop!

I haven't done either one, but I'd probably go with the Wishes cruise.

We have not done either, but have talked about the Illuminations cruise and never about the wishes cruise. So I choose the Illuminations one. Plus I like Illuminations better than wishes

I voted Wishes, we have been on it ( I bought it as a surprise gift for DW's B-Day) It was great, a little chilly though, on the way back to the dock our CM took us over to catch part of the EWP from the water, that was a great view! Although I must also say that we both longingly look at those Illuminations Cruises, maybe someday.

I've never taken either, but the IllumiNations cruise seems more interesting. I just enjoy the show better than Wishes.

In 2005 we had 8 people so we were eligible for the Magical Gathering Wishes Cruise. It was alot of fun to do once.

Never been on either, would love to try both! BUT, my vote went to the Wishes cruise just because I think I would want to do that before the Illuminations one.:mickey:

I've done both.

The Wishes Cruise is far superior than Illuminations.

Wishes Cruise - you see resorts & Electical Light Parade, you move around during the fireworks to "always have the best possible view."

Illuminations Cruise - you see the entrance to MGM, then tie up under a bridge to see the show - and you can't even see the entire show from your vantage point (the globe is initially out of view!) - and I say this when we were the FIRST boat in line! I can't imagine the view of those behind us!

I say this and I'm someone who likes Illuminations as a show much better - but as far as cruises are concerned, for your $$$, Wishes is the HANDS DOWN winner! :mickey:
