What's the best time to visit Toontown to get photos and autographs with the characters? Is there a non-busy time of day there? Are there times to avoid, too?
Thanks

I'd go in the morning because everyone is going to the other lands and it shouldn't be busy at all back there.

They open at 10 - I'd be there by 9:45. Also, if you want the princesses, go to that queue first - it gets full fast. If your kids are older, I've heard that the lines die down in the evening, although I've never seen it happen. This is one of the reasons we book a couple of character meals during our trip - that way we are sure to get to see the ones we want most.

As already stated, the best time to go is early morning and afternoon.

Early and midafternoon. But, even when there are fairly long lines, it is worth the wait IMHO! We love the characters! They have become one of the major highlights of our trips! We get so excited when we find one we haven't met before! :mickey:

noon to mid-afternoon - this is when the kiddies usually take there naps back at the resorts. We found Toontown to be less crowded at this time.

I found an hour before toontown closes(it closes earlier than the rest of the park).... by then, the younger kids are tuckered out and back at the hotel.

We did toontown late afternoon/early evening--I think between 4-6 pm) and walked right in to get picture with Mickey. He's the only one I cared about getting picture with (:mickey:), so not sure about others. Guess all the little ones were back taking naps! :sheep:

I've always heard that there are shorter lines during the parades. I don't know if this is true or not, but I thought I'd mention it.

Either the first hour or during Wishes/Spectro.

No wait at all for loads of pics inside the judge's tent. Toontown? Ghost Town was more like it in the hour before Wishes.

Just don't hope to also catch Wishes, because you will NOT find a good place and you'll also be at a terrible angle to view it from. Unfortunately, been there ... done that ... didn't love that part so much.

I agree with either go at opening time 10am or the last hour the park is open. We usually do the later and sometimes were able to get through all three lines in 30 minutes.

Early or late. It's quite crowded in the middle of the day.

A good tip if trying to do this and see Wishes...if you don't care about seeing all the stuff projected onto the Castle, go and view it from FantasyLand. Truly an amazing way to see the fireworks. ;)

The best time to visit Toontown is when you're a kid. Any time after 7 or 8 years old and it's pretty lame.

Might not still be the norm, but in the past some of the characters would come out for the rope drop and walk everyone into ToonTown.

Minne would be waiting to lead folks through her house and then into the judges tent. Also Goofy has been known to be waiting at the Barnstormer to take the first ride of the day with a guest.

If you want it during a quieter time we usually go during a parade or later afternoon.
