Mine would have to be the chicken at the Teppanyaki with just a touch of their mustard sauce. :cloud9:

Although, for nostalgia value, nothing beats a Casey's hot dog!! :number1:

Of course I'm trying almost a dozen new restraunts there in December, so we'll see what happens.

Doesn't this mean I can't have one of everything?? :(

Right now my all time favorite would have to be the Tamarind BBQ Beef Short Rib at Jiko :eat: with a nice glass of South African wine. :wine:

Cheddar Cheese soup from LeCellier (with pretzel breadsticks, of course!)

Caprese sandwich from EOS

Anything from Ghirardelli's...or the creme brulees from LeCellier.

Wait, that's a lot more than one, huh? ;)

We've eaten at soooo many places @ WDW, and have loved most, but wouldn't go back to others. To pick one fave is unfair, at best! But the only thing that comes to mind, that I have to have in multiple doses, is the roasted, sweeten nuts @ the cart just outside of the "Land" @ Epcot! :cloud9: And they must be hot, just out of the roaster, or they're not as tasty!:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9:

I'll limit myself to appetizers and entrees as that's what was originally asked... since I don't have a favorite entree, I'll go with my favorite appetizers (in no particular order):

Lobster soup from Coral Reef
Sonoma goat cheese ravioli from California Grill
Crab cakes from Liberty Tree Tavern (only served at lunch and I think they're better than Kona Cafe's)

Yum, yum and yum! :eat:

Wow - this is a tough one.
I'm going to go with my the first thing that popped into my head: the potatoes at Ohanas. But...my list could go on, and on, and on, and on. :eat:
No kidding, there are so many wonderful food choices at Disney - Dole Whips, Mickey Ice Cream, Rootbeer floats from the ice cream shop on Main Street, the mushroom filet and pretzel breadsticks from LeCellier, the dressing from The Liberty Tree Tavern...oh I'm sorry you said we could only list one. Oops!

a thread like this is a real head scratcher...tough to pick just one...so I won't. :mickey:

I don't know if the new Wave restaurant will have them, but at the Concourse Steakhouse, Mickeys Stickies. (decadent cinnamon rolls)

Lobster Bisque at Coral Reef was out of sight.

Cheddar Cheese soup at Le Cellier.

and this is going to sound cheesy, but I absolutely love the cheeseburgers at Cosmic Ray's Cafe.

I don't care whether you asked for desserts or not, that's what I go there for. I have been dieting, so I would kill for a piece of carrot cake. I have one every night before bed when we are there. I didn't think I would impressed by O'Hanas bread pudding, since I think my own is so good.... but it was to die for!!!!

Great thread.....I now have 5 new ideas for ADR's for next year's trip....and of course, several long time favorites to visit again. Kona for the Mahi-Mahi, Le Cellier for the filet...or maybe the salmon....and Crab Cakes....Kona or Rainforest?......and Trails End, just cause its there.....8 days is not nearly enough! But it is a good start!....

I cannot pick just one food item, but I will try to limit the list to a few favorites:

Soups at Boma
Wings at 'Ohana and Kona Cafe
Clam chowder at Cape May Cafe
Ice cream cookie sandwiches at Main Street Bakery

As a sidenote, I used to adore the chicken Caesar salad at Cosmic Ray's Starlight cafe, but the dish is different now. When I ordered the salad in May, the chicken was buried at the bottom of the bowl and the delicious garlicky dressing was not present. Instead, I was given a packet of generic Ken's Caesar dressing to pour on top. The old dressing--which was mixed into the salad--was so much better.

The apple, walnut salad at the Liberty Tree.

Ditto, it's called the colony salad and it is the best!

DH loves the crab cakes at Liberty Tree the best, and both of our favorite desserts are there too -- butter griddled pound cake for me and the lava cake for him.

My absolute favorite appetizer anywhere ever is the grilled fois gras at the Cali Grill. My mother and I both entered a transcendent state while eating and talked about it for a year. When we ordered it again a month ago, we both feared it could not live up to our memory, but it was amazing again. The cheese plate was also great. And the creme brulee at Le Cellier. And mickey mouse rice krispy treats. And school bread. But you said just pick one. :secret:

The filet with wild mushroom risotto entree at Le Cellier!

I liked the Prince Edward Island Mussels as an app at Le Cellier too.

I love the grapefruit, papaya and avocado salad at BOMA

I love the Cocomisu at BOMA (coconut tiramisu) - I've made it at home and people SWOON and ask me for the recipe...

I love all of the BOMA soups

Well, I think that covers all of the categories... soup, salad, appetizer, entree and desert.

Oh, I love dole whip floats (park snack) too!
