Since no one else has done it yet, let's do one about what you WOULD like to replace Aerosmith with. It won't be as funny as the "worst artist/song" thread, but it might be fun just the same. Here's a few of mine:

Pink Floyd - Any Colour You Like - LOUD.
Stone Temple Pilots - Interstate Love Song
Metallica - Enter Sandman
Rick Derringer - Rock and Roll Hoochie-Coo
Edgar Winter Group - Frankenstein
Hocus Pocus - Focus

It's AEROSMITH or nothing for me!!

But if I had to choose one I would do:

U2 - Elevation

That's it! Give me Aerosmith all the time!!!

AC/DC - Highway To Hell

I mean you can't get any better than that can you?

Elvis!

Yeah. It would have to be his version of Promised Land or his live version of Burnin' Love.

I would absolutely love it if it was Bon Jovi's Livin' on a Prayer that would make my day

Highway to Hell is my ringtone ;)

AC/DC would actually be a nice fit, keeping in mind that RnRC encompasses many hits from Aerosmith and not just one song. Also, the Rolling Stones(Start Me Up, etc). U2 would work. It would have to be a classic band with many hits to stand the test of time.

T. Rex - Chariot Choogle or Ballrooms of Mars
The Stooges - T.V. Eye
The Rolling Stones - Jumpin' Jack Flash
Les Rallizes Denudes - 夜、暗殺者の夜 (a.k.a. Night of the Assassins)

I'm gonna throw a wild card in and say "Defying Gravity" from Wicked, just from the "It's MEEEE" bit, that would be exhilarating

How about "You're Just What I Needed"
By THE CARS!
Also, i think "Highway to Hell" would get even more negative comments than the ubiquitous Wicked Witch at Snow White's Adventure! :thedolls:

Pearl Jam or U2

This is not easy since it is a group that has to traverse several generations. Aeorsmith is a perfect fit. Their lyrics are mostly clean, it rocks, and they have a fan base from several decades.

AC/DC may work, but in a Family park, the lyrics aren't appropriate.

Metallica has too limited of a fan base

U2 may be a good fit, but too much pop for RnR.

Elvis? No way. If that was a ride, they can just put a fat guy on a toilet shooting up.

If they wanted to get rid of the Aerosmith feel, they may be better off picking songs that match the ride directly. Some people made suggestions of great songs:

I Can't Drive 55
Highway to Hell (too bad Hell is in it)
and many others.

I think they should keep Aerosmith, but change the Aerosmith song around. So everytime you get on you don't know what song you are going to get.

while when i think disney & music,"aerosmith"
may not be the first thing that comes to mind,i think aerosmith is an awesome fit for this ride.
i heard that their first choice was the stones, but they wanted too much money.boy,am i glad.the combo of the harder
rock music,in the dark w/lights & props all on
a rollercoaster!!but...it's looking like bon jovi
is mr.politically correct these days and actually
wouldn't be a bad fit for the attraction.i for one love it the way it is,i just wish the ride lasted about a minute or so longer!!!
gg out:thumbsup:

Your a little late, or you have been screaming to loud to notice, but each of the nine trains has a different Aerosmith soundtrack. My personnal favorite is the one that starts with Sweet Emotion during the launch.

As for what other band would make a good ride? Not sure this is one.

Ac/Dc would be excellent, but they I don't think they have as wide of appeal as Aerosmith. They used Chili Peppers at Disneyland earlier this year for Space Mountain. That might be fun!

I think in a few years the ride will be renamed to simply Rockin Rollercoaster and feature a variety of rock classics.

I fear it will evolve to a Disney Popcoaster that will feature Disney Channel arists.

I have a few suggestions...(going strictly on the music)...these are in no particular order.

1) Detroit Rock City - KISS
2) Night Train - Guns and Roses
3) HIghway to Hell - AC/DC (not my idea but a good one)
4) Heading out on the Highway - Judas Priest
5) Dragula - Rob Zombie
6) Ace of Spades - Motorhead
7) Crazy Train - Ozzy Osbourne

If I think of any others I'll post them. :thedolls:
