Refurb Question

This might have been asked before but I cannot find it.:blush:

When WDW announces that a ride/attraction will be closed for refurb on specific dates, how exact are those dates? How often are the original posted dates pushed back? It just seems that an awful lot of rides/attractions will be closed in Sept/Oct which is no longer off season. Makes for a bunch of upset travelers.

The dates are pretty much on the money on occaision they due push back the closing or reopening a couple of days. It's really difficult to give an acurate answer since each project is different and there are several different categories of rehabs.

The start date of a rehab usually doesn't change... its the end date that changes most often. Rarely, does it reopen early. More often, it opens on time, unless its a big rehab, then it might open a few days late.

If they have it scheduled to be down while you're there, don't get your hopes up. Plan to not do the ride.

Right now, SSE and BTMRR is going to be down while were there. I hope there isn't anymore that will close!
