Length of Evening EMHs?

Do evening extra magic hours always last for 3 hours after park closing? I thought I've seen "up to 3 hours" somewhere. If not, how do I found out long they will last? Also, when I was at MK last March, they suprised everyone by keeping the MK open for an add'l hour on a non-EMH night. Was that really a suprise or is there a way to figure out when and where they'll do that? We're going in January 2008 and I am in the mood to plan, plan, plan!!! (P.S. Sure would be nice to know what I'll being paying for our WL room!)

It's up to three hours probably just for legal reasons. I don't think it has ever actually been less than 3 hours.

I dont know why it says "up to 3 hours" everytime I've stayed for evening EMH, it's always been open the full extra 3 hours.

The only time I've ever seen it shorter than three hours is when AK first opened it used to only be two hours there. But now it's pretty safe to say it will be 3. And yes the decision to keep the park open an extra hour is a completely random decision made at the last minute.

Same here. All times I've gone to an EMH it's been the full 3 hours.

In December when Epcot was open until 9:30p each night, the EMH night only went until 11:00pm so it was not the full 3 hrs.
