We were at Epcot lat week and I talked DW and the kids into going to see American Adventure for the first time, it being 4th of July week and all... We saw the drum and fife corps show first. It was pretty cool. Especially when they had the children come up front to lead the crowd in the Pledge of Allegience. Then, when we entered the theater to see the show a CM came up to us and asked us to be the "first family". I wasn't sure what it meant but, of course we said "yes". She explained that we would sit upstairs in special reserved seats in the balcony of the rotunda while the choral group performed. Everyone else watched from downstairs, either standing or sitting on the floor or on a few benches. The group sang beautifully and they made sure to sing directly to us at times. After that we were ushered into the theater before anyone else and we got to choose any seat we wanted. Of course, we chose front row and center. A different CM came in and gave us a brief "tour" of the theater and took a picture of us and all of the empty seats. It's definitely a view of Disney we've never seen before. We were actually alone in there for a good while until everyone else filed in. Before the show started we were introduced as the first family and we gave everyone a big wave. The kids got a HUGE kick out of it and I'll admit, so did DW and I. We also got a certificate for the scrapbook. It was a lot of fun and we were very happy that we actually got a dream. How cool!:mickey:

Very cool! My sister and her family received the YOMAD lanyards/pins when they were there a few weeks ago. They were thrilled.

Congrats! What a great memory.

What is really nice about these types of dreams is that they won't stop after the official YOAMD promotion stops. These special moments are expected to continue and we can all expect the chance for special recognition like this whenever we visit Disney.
