I have Comcast Cable in the North East and was wondering if they carried Premiere League Football(soccer). I know there is a US package but do they have an international?

If you have Fox Soccer Channel as one of your channels, which is a fairly common channel, they show 3-4 PL games a week.

Besides what FSC shows, a lot of the bigger games are carried by Setanta Sport in the US and you'll only be able to see them by going to a soccer-friendly pub.

I should also mention--I also have Comcast in the North East, but actual availability on a system is very local. What is available to me in Brighton, a neighborhood of Boston, is different from what is available to somebody five blocks away in Allston, a different neighborhood of Boston. So nobody can really say for sure what's available to you without where exactly you live, and then could only tell you with certainly if they live in the exact same locality.

On Comcast the best way to see Premiere League games is Fox Soccer Channel. In my area they also occasionally show games on Comcast's own channel.

Here in the UK, Live Premier League football is shown on SKY channel although I believe SETANTA maybe showing games come the new season next month. The Fox Sports channel shows live games and highlights.

I realise that cable is more popular than satalite dish in America but maybe you can pick up SKY SPORTS via satalite. There is a projected 92 live games to be shown this season.

Would be interested to find out because if I do eventually move to America then I want my football.

I have Dish Network and I have the subscription which gets me Fox Soccer Channel. They do show some Premier League games on the weekends (and a few during the week) and do a good job of covering the day's action through highlights. The only thing I would change is for them to show more Liverpool games. ;)

I've never heard of Sky Sports being available in the US (although Fox Soccer Channel shows an hourly Sky Sports News show), and would probably conflict with rights owned by Fox Soccer Channel and Setanta. But between those two, don't worry, you'll get plenty of Premier League football :) (Just make sure you move to a large metro area that will have pubs that carry Setanta)

There's also alot more than just Premier League available too, on FSC, and Setanta, and Gol TV, and Fox Sports Espanol. The USA may have a reputation where nobody cares about the sport, but there's actually quite a few of us and television-wise we're pretty well served :)

Edit: now that I think of it, I think Fox and Sky are both owned by Murdoch, so my guess is that what games are on Sky Sports are probably the same games shown on Fox Soccer Channel. But I could be wrong.

Edit II: Oh, and on FSC you'll also get to see old episodes of that gripping drama, "Dream Team" :)

Here is the schedule of Live games on SKY SPORTS up to the end of November. So these may be the games shown live on Fox. If Liverpool are challenging for the title expect to see alot more of them from Christmas onwards.

Thanks! I am actually debating on buying the online viewing from Liverpool FC, I just can't figur out if it only shows in real time or if it can be watched later. How big if the time difference between eastern standard time and time in England? Did you see Liverpool play Crewe? Awsome!

England is 5 hours ahead of the East Coast. So a game at 3 in the afternoon in England is on at 10am in Delaware.

I was not able to see the entire match between Liverpool and Crewe, but I did see the highlights on Sky Sports. We looked sharp. We also looked good against Werder Bremen, but we let them score 2 goals. But I guess that's what these friendlies are for, right? To fine tune everything before the season starts? I feel good about LFC's upcoming season!
