... other changes will be taking place in MGM as well. The Jedi Training Academy will become a permanent fixture and will have a brand new stage. This refurbishment should begin around July 9. Also on July 9, Mickey Avenue will officially become Pixar Place. Playhouse Disney will undergo a few changes, switching its location a large air conditioned tent in the parking lot behind Rockin Roller Coster. It also will have a new show starting in February, starring characters from Jojo's Circus, Mickey's Clubhouse, and Little Einsteins. This will also prompt a Jojo's Circus and Little Einsteins meet and greet in the animation courtyard, sometime in the fall.

In the fury of MGM refurbishments Rock N Roller Coaster will be down from Labor Day to early October 2007, Rosie's and Eddies will be undergoing some changes within the next month or two, Muppet Vision 3D will be switched to a digital projection system, Block Party Bash will begin in March of 2008, and the Stars and Motor Cars parade will be retired, and the much anticipated ride, Toy Story Mania, is tentatively set for a Late April 2008 opening.

Some other minor adjustments will be taking place, such as the Sorcerer Hat having the lights refurbished, the FastPass being unavailable for the Rock N Roller Coaster from July 12 through the 17(during the software upgrade only). The FastPass will be unavailable for the Tower of Terror July 23-25 for the same upgrades. ...The Jedi Training should be fun for fans. :mickey:
I'm glad they are updating MGM, one of my favorite parks.

A few comments on the report:

The note about Playhouse Disney is incorrect. Playhouse Disney Live on Stage is not moving, the Playhouse Disney In-Concert Series is planned to be conducted in the backstage venue.

Construction starts on Mickey Avenue July 9, although it will likely not be renamed until it opens.

The Rock 'n' Rollercoaster rehab is still only tentative.

Almost all of this is already being discussed in other threads. To keep the discussions together, I'm going to close this thread direct further discussion to those threads.

I've split off a paragraph about Star Tours into its own thread so it can be continued to be discussed own its own, Updates to Star Tours (http://www.intercot.com/discussion/showthread.php?t=109551).

Thank you.
