I couldn't find anything special that you might need to do to vote in a poll, other than be logged in. :shrug:
Figment! is the technical expert, maybe he can shed some light on this. In the meantime just do what I do (I'm stubborn), go back and try to vote again :D

Sometimes polls are established with a time limit or other limitation, perhaps you've run into something like that...
