Not to age myself, but MK, back in 1978, it was the only park at Disneyworld at the time! Man I feel old!:ill: Still feel like a kid when I'm at Disney though:cloud9:

Magic Kingdom - we were staying at the Poly and our room wasn't ready. So we took the boat over to MK and walked around the park. I think we only went on Buzz, it was nice to just walk around and take it all in.

Disneyland California. I may have been when I was a baby, I was born in California and I know for sure we went when I was in kindergarten, so 1989 or so, but there's a huge possibility it was before then.

Magic Kingdom for me, we went to Disney when it opened with my parents, the last time I went with my parents was the year EPCOT opened. Imagine my suprise when I took my wife and kids for the first time. We have been more than once a year since my oldest turned two.

My first Disney park was the original Disney park. I think our first trip to Disneyland was in the late 60's early 70's when I was just a baby. My wife's first Disney experience was Hong Kong Disneyland. My first real memory of Disneyland is probably in the mid 70's.

Much to my chagrin it was Epcot (as a kid I was wanting to do MK first, but was overruled by mom). As it turns out, Epcot was my favorite park. I wish I could say it still was, but it's just not the same without Horizons, World of Motion, and the original JIYI.

For me, it was MK - Christmas Day 1971. Yes, the very first Xmas at WDW!:santa: I remember it was a complete madhouse, with wall to wall people & 2 hour waits for some of the rides (no fastpass then). One CM said that they had closed the park to new arrivals by 11AM, and the parking lot was full. Still, it was the most wonderful day I had ever had to that point. The park was open 'til midnight, and we arrived just after opening, spending almost 15 glorious hours immersed in the Magic.:cloud9:

It was that day I became a WDW fanatic!:mickey:

The Magic Kingdom was my first park, back in 81 and I was twelve. We drove by the area that would become Epcot and saw some of the construction. It was very exciting, but the Magic Kingdom was more than enough for me then.

I went to Disneyland 3 times before I made to WDW on a college trip. We had 1 day to pick 1 Park to visit. I wanted to go to MK but all my friends (including the guy I had a major crush on) convinced me to go Epcot (still EPCOT Center back then). I LOVED it and never regretted it. My first meals there were in Germany and Mexico and those are still my 2 favorite restaurants in Epcot.

We went to MK back in '85 when I was 3. Living in VA (WVA at the time) with a Dad afraid to fly and not enough time to fly, still haven't made it to DL but I've been to WDW numerous times. That first time all I can remember is being so excited about riding the carasoul and Dumbo! Now I hardly do those after all these years exect when my sister was smaller. Of course, at that time Dad was a hillbilly from WVA (in the true sense of the word!) and refused to wear shorts! Mom still laughs about him being the only guy in jeans at the MK in July :mickey:

Magic Kingdom 1972. I went with a friend of mine and her parents. We stayed in their Wenabago at FW. That and The Contemporary was the only choices. I think the Poly was still under construction. I'll never forget the first time we came across in the boat from FW and I caught sight of the castle for the first time!!!:eyes: WOW!!

My first park was Disneyland back in late '87/early '88 (I just remember my little brother was still a baby in a stroller). My dad's uncle was a CM at the time so he could get us in for free. Not gonna lie though- I don't really remember much. But I'm sure I had fun! :mickey:

My first park was Disneyland back in 1965. My first trip to Disneyworld was in 1973, when there was only the MK and you still purchased tickets for the rides. Needless to say, when I returned in 2004 there had been one or two changes to say the least.

My vote was for MK. I went there for the first time when I was 5, way back in 1978. That was the only park available in WDW at the time! And we had a tower room at the CR :cloud9:! I wish I could stay there again...maybe one day!

I guess I see I am with the majority, I went to Magic Kingdom when we got to the park. I think it was unanimous because of the EMH that night were there. Also because I was a closet princess. Growing up, I was the only girl in a sea of 14 boy cousins, so my love for that kind of thing was put on the back burner. But the minute I saw the castle, my legs couldn't move fast enough, and when I stood at the steps, my eyes welled up and I was just in utter awe

:number1:Back in July,1961, I went with my aunt and sister to California. We traveled the old route 66 which was active at the time.

Went to Disneyland for a brief visit. I remember how much fun it was. the Monsanta House of the Future was the hit of the time. Everything seemed so futuristic. Only stayed a short time. My aunt did not want to take too long, so we mainly just walked thru. Mt.Matahorn and the Jungle Cruise were the only rides I believe we had time to get on.

Started going to "Disney World" early 80's. What a difference:thumbsup: and continue to do so several times a year.

My first trip was in 95. I was 9. Our first park was MGM because my parents wanted to wait for a full day for the MK. I believe our first ride was MuppetVision 3*D. If it wasn't the first it was close to it because I remember being the most excited to go on that attraction because I've always loved the Muppets. I yelled with glee when I got my first glimpse of that hot air balloon. :kermit:

EPCOT. We were on our honeymoon and flew into Orlando around 3:00 on a couple hours sleep. The original plan was to take it easy by the pool but once we landed the Disney bug bit us and we had to get to a park. It was a Saturday and all I remember was the park was almost empty. Our first ride ever was Horizons.

Aww, what a great memory...it was Magic Kingdom! It was truly a magical experience and my family and I have never been the same since! We love Disney because it is the Happiest Place on Earth, no doubt. We have also visited Disnelyland in CA, and again, you get that magical feeling, in fact, I could feel Walt himself laughing amongst us! Thanks for asking this question. Have a great day!:mickey:

Disneyland Resort in Cali-for-ni-A.
I still have the picture of me in my peter pan hat with Brier Bear and Brier Fox, as just a little guy. :mickey:

I had seen an episode of (can't remeber if it was Disney's wonderful world of color or which, but it was back when the tv guide used to point out the show actually IN color! :old: ) And seeing a show devoted to disneyland itseld and seeing the haunted mansion and the "relatively" new (1969) Pirates... ahh pirates, how I miss the old Non PC pirates...

Back then (oh no, here it comes! :old: )I would get excited as we came down Ball or Katella, and we could see the Matterhorn! Sometimes you could even see the moutain climers on it if you were running a little late. Everything took tickets and we all played the game of looking for the car in the parking lot as you took the monorail around to the Disneyland Hotel! (just for fun, it isn't a serious mode of transportation out there like at WDW.) Now that parking lot is California Adventure. When we went last year I couldn't see the Matterhorn from the road anymore.

I kinda miss it the old way. But I'd still prefer Star Tours to the bit of evil :thedolls: that was in that space before!

Back in 1975 when I was but a youth I was lucky enough to win a trip to Disney World. Of course back then there was only the MK. We stayed at the Royal Plaza, one of the few hotels in Lake Buena Vista at the time. My how times have changed. Back then if you rode the outside elevator on the hotel you could see Space Mt. and a lot of trees and green space.
Over ther next couple of years I won two more trips, once staying again at the Royal Plaza and the second time at the Golf Resort, now Shades of Green:mickey:

My first Park was Disneyland Paris, then called Eurodisneyland.

A friend was going with his family and they invited me along. I think this is the most beautiful gift I have ever received. Some have been more expensive, but none have made me so happy.

I was 16, and this was my first time in a disneypark. I remember dancing in Main Street like an idiot, much to the shame of my friend and his family.

Since then, I always dance when I arrive in Main Street, and I always receive the same looks of concern for my sanity !

I know I was at the MK in 71, but I was barely 1. I do have a vague memory of Main Street when I was very little. I can remember almost every time I was there from 6 on. We always camped out at Fort Wilderness in September. It was the slow time then too. A group of families took all the kids out of school for a week.

Our first park was Epcot in 2002. DS's were 4 & 6, we woke to rain for our very first park day. I had read in one of the guide books that Epcot was a good choice for a rainy day because alot of attractions are indoors. So - we donned our ponchos & off we went! We loved it - we didn't have any thing to compare it to -so we absolutely fell in love with Epcot & we still love it!:mickey:
