July 4, 1968 – Mindy Feldman, sister of actor Corey Feldman and a member of the 1977-1978 TV show “The New Mouseketeers,” was born.
July 4, 1975 – Disney’s comedy feature “The Apple Dumpling Gang,” starring Don Knotts and Tim Conway, was released.
July 4, 1979 – Teresa Salcedo was the first baby born at Disneyland California. Teresa was 6 lbs. 10oz., and born to Rosa and Elias Salcedo.
July 4, 1983 - Epcot Teacher Center opened in CommuniCore West at Epcot.
July 4, 1984 – The “World Premiere Circle-Vision” attraction opened in Fantasyland at Disneyland. (Closed Sept. 7, 1997)
July 4, 1984 – “American Journey’s” (a Circle-Vision film) opened in Disneyland’s Tomorrowland. The film “All Because Man Wanted to Fly,” opened as the pre-show attraction.
July 4, 1986 - The renamed Disneyland attraction “Country Bear Playhouse” debuted replacing “The Country Bear Vacation Hoedown.”
July 4, 1986 – The “All Because Man Wanted to Fly” preshow film debuted for the “PSA’s CircleVision” attraction at Disneyland.
July 4, 1987 – Tokyo Disneyland’s version of Big Thunder Mountain opened in Westernland.
July 4, 1987 – Over 87,000 guest visit Disneyland on this holiday ((an all-time record up to this time.)
