International Gateway Epcot

I have a question for my upcoming trip in August. Were going to MGM 1st thing in the am, then to Epcot. We have ADR in Canada for lunch. Would it make sence to take a bus to YBC, then take the boat, and enter the park at the gateway near France?

We are staying at the WL. I'm getting different stories that anyone can enter there , and I'm hearing that Ecpot Resort guest only.

Does anyone out there know ?

I have done that very same thing a couple of times. it works out pretty well.

We have stayed at ASMu and was able to enter thru there, that's not a problem. I've never gone from MGM to Epcot. I have gone from the International Gateway to the Boardwalk though and the boat does go back and forth. Somebody else will have more info for you.

Yes, anyone can enter thru the International Gateway, and it is convenient to Canada.

But you can take the boat all the way from MGM to Epcot; there's no need to transfer via bus. Although the boat is slow (about half an hour end to end), you would quite possibly take even longer waiting for a bus and then waiting again for the boat.
