July 1, 1999 – The Dapper Dans were invited to perform a set on the SPEBSQSA International Convention contest stage after the quartet semi-finals. After a warm reception from the audience, Mickey Mouse entered to greet over 10,000 barber shoppers who came to Anaheim, Ca. The Dapper Dans then officially received the Chapter and Resolution for the Honorary Main Street U.S.A. Disneyland Chapter from SPEBSQSA President Ed Waesche. (SPEBSQSA stands for Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barber Shop Quartet Singing in America.
July 1, 2002 – Disney’s Beach Club Villas opened to guest at WDW. (A Disney Vacation Club Resort)
July 1, 2003 – The Florida Clean Air Act took effect at WDW. It requires all indoor workplaces (including resort lobbies, convention spaces, common areas, dining locations, and enclosed backstage areas) to be designated as non – smoking.
July 1, 2003 - Goofy’s Country Dancin’ Jamboree opened to guests which replaced the long running Diamond Horseshoe Saloon Revue.
July 1, 2003 – “Andre Lacroix” joined the company as Chairman of Euro Disney.
July 1, 2004 - Community Drive, which fronts the entrances of both Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa and Disney's Old Key West Resort, has been renamed Disney Vacation Club Way.
July 1, 2004 – The world’s most advanced humanoid robot, ASIMO, was at Epcot’s World ShowPlace with 25-minute demonstrations showing its technical abilities. (appearances July 1-3, 5-8, 10-11; 2:30, 4,5,& 7 p.m.-July 4, 12:30, 1:30, & 2:30 p.m.)
July 1, 2004 – “Disney Tails,” a new store featuring pet products, opened in Downtown Disney Marketplace at WDW.
July 1, 2004 – “Villian’s Lair,” a shop in Disneyland’s Fantasyland closed.
July 1, 2005 – Disneyland’s improved Space Mountain began soft openings.
