Animal Kingdom

I am wondering what year Animal Kingdom opened up and a friend of mine brought me back a bonsai tree supposedly purchased from there and I was wondering if I could still purchase one when I get there this Sept. and if I can where might I find them, I am a plant loving person and purchased a palm tree in '06 on my way home from Florida. Any suggestions?

The Animal Kingdom opened in April of '98. The 22nd, to be precise. I get the feeling that I might have seen Bonsai trees there (or in the Animal Kingdom Lodge', which opened 3 years later), but I couldn't swear to it.

I don't know for sure if you can still get the bonsai trees at AK but if you can't you can still get them for sure at the Japanese pavilion at Epcot.
