June 27, 1986 – Disney’s “Ruthless People,” starring Danny DeVito, Bette Midler, Judge Reinhold, and Helen Stater, was released.
June 27, 1991 – “Mickey’s Mart,” a WDW souvenir shop in Tomorrowland closed. (It would be replaced with Mickey’s Star Traders.)
June 27, 1997 – Disney’s 35th animated feature film “Hercules” was released in the U.S. and Canada.
June 27, 1997 – The Hercules “Zero to Hero” Victory Parade debuted at Disney-MGM Studios at WDW.
June 27, 1997 – Disney’s “Hercules - - Zero to Hero Parade” debuted at Disney-MGM Studios in WDW replacing the “Toy Story Parade.”
June 27, 1998 – The Disney Channel Original Movie “You Lucky Dog” aired.
June 27, 1999 – The 2-day celebration to honor the 30th Anniversary of the Haunted Mansion continued at Disneyland.
June 27, 2005 – “John Fiedler” the voice of Piglet in Disney’s Winnie-the-Pooh films, passed away at the age of 80.
June 27, 2005 – Disney’s new free online game “Disney’s Virtual Magic Kingdom” was launched.
June 27, 2006 – The soundtrack from the Walt Disney Pictures film “Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest” was released.
