Back in Question #59, you were asked to pick between "It's Tough to Be a Bug" and "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience". Although the poll is still open, "It's Tough to be a Bug" is a clear winner, with over 100 votes. So today, we'll take the winner of that contest (ITTBAB) and go against the new kid on the block: Mickey's Philharmagic.

I was going to put Y100Q65 in Vacation Planning, but as I look at it, I think it might make more sense in Theme Parks. I'll likely post it on Friday.

I love Mickey's Philharmagic. The way they draft those smells through the theatre makes it seem that much more real. Every once in a while I'll look down at some of the kids in the theatre... I love to watch them reaching for things flying out at them and squealing with excitement. It's so much fun!!

This was an easy one. I think Philharmagic is hands down the best 3D they've ever made. This comes from someone who is a huge Muppett fan, and always thought they were the best ever. Don't get me wrong, I think Bug is really good. I love all of the physical effects, but it can be quite scary for children. The part I hate is the wasp sting.

What can I say...PHILHARMAGIC has it hands down. I really like ITTBAB, but you are really comparing apples and oranges. The most important thing about Philharmagic is that it stars the DUCK!!!!

Mickey's PhilharMagic is probably my second-favorite attraction in the Magic Kingdom and definitely the best 3-D film in Walt Disney World.

More future attractions should have the heart, energy and spectacle of Mickey's PhilharMagic.

I love the fact that ITTBAB is in the Tree of Life and I also like the fact that it has a mix of animatronics, 3D and is multi-sensory.

I love Philharmagic because of the story-line, the characters and the spectacular effects! The smell of the pie gets me everytime!

I went with ITTBAB simple because you can't beat walking around the tree of life and checking out the animals while waiting in line. Which I have to admit I have rarely had to do at ITTBAB. I like Philharmagic but I really like the "friends" that leave the theater before we do! So creative!!! I also secretly love to see the unsuspecting new comers jump almost all of the way out of their seats!!! :secret:

It's Philharmagic for me--hands down. It is a huge family favorite. We went several times; could not get enough. It is one of the memories we savor. It is also the first thing me, DD and DS did when we went last year (for their first WDW experience). It is also the first 3D show we had ever seen. We could not stop smiling and laughing. What a way to set the tone for the trip, and what a great way to be introduced to WDW!

I like the bugs too. They are cute. How can anyone not like bugs?! ;)

We saw Mickey's Philharmagic for the first time a few weeks ago. When I was in WDW in May 2003 they were still building it, with the whole area all blocked off. We didn't make it on in October or January, but this past May we did. I voted for it. It's not better than Muppet Vision 3D, which is definately our favorite show, but it is still neat. Very random, but cool how it's almost like what Walt wanted Fantasia to be, with the effects all in the theater. The Little Mermaid is like that too, that is some crazy stuff with the water! So I guess I'm with the majority on this one, Mickey's Philharmagic gets my vote on this one.

well i first have to say i LOVE them both, but choosing my favorite it would have to be mickey's philharmagic. you can't get better than that. the room is always cool, it's peaceful in there, and the smells are amazing!!! plus the whole story is good. it's one of my favorite things at all of the parks.

I voted for Mickey's Philharmagic. :mickey: I saw the show for the first time on my last trip. I was about 25 at the time and never even knew what it was about until then. Now it is one of my favorite shows and I can not wait to see it again. :thumbsup: I can not believe I went that long just walking right by it :blush:

I love ITTBAB with all the tings that pop out at you like the bee's and then the stink bug effect however I would still have to vote for Philharmagic. I think overall it is way better 3D show then ITTBAB. I would much rather go watch that.

Not sure why, ITTBAB is good, but something keeps it from being a must see for us. Its not just the bugs thing either. :bee::bee::bee:

But Mickey's brings the long history of Disney together in one film and has that something that has made it a must see for us. :mickey2:

:ditto: The only animatronic in Philharmagic is Donald's butt sticking out of the wall at the back of the theater at the end of the show!!!! That is the only reason I picked ITTBAB over Philharmagic.

If you or members of your group are afraid of bugs then you should not go to an attraction featuring them. So of course you will prefer Mickey's Philharmagic.

Philharmagic is amazing! I think it's probably one of the best uses for 4-d that disney has come up with! I do love those muppets too though!
