I know there are perks that come with the Disney Visa card. Is one of those perks discounts on park passes or resorts rates?

No - you get a photo op in the park, discounts in WOD and earn "reward dollars" which can be redeemed for merchandise or park/resort costs, but no actual discounts.

I have seen occasions where they have discounted rooms available to Disney Visa holders in advance of a general public offering. If you're trying to get a discount on a specific resort at a specific time, this would give you a big advantage since those rooms tend to get booked rather quickly. We use ours to pay our DVC dues. No annual fee-- it's a good deal if you don't run up any finance charges.

Also, you are first in line to get the free dining option when made available (usually a few days before its available to non-Disney Visa cardholders). One other thing, you can charge you trip and have interest free payments for 6 months.
