Wishes or Illuminations?

Which fireworks show do you like better? I like Illuminations a lot, but i have to go with Wishes, because its in MK, my fave park:cloud9:Love it!:mickey:

If it were Spectromagic/Wishes combined it would have the edge. I think Illuminations beats Wishes by itself.

Magic Kingdom is such my favorite too! There isn't much in MK I don't think is awesome.:mickey:

While I do love Wishes, my vote goes to Illuminations. When the torches are "blown out" at the beginning of the show I get goosebumps. I absolutely love the music (even the pre-show music) and the fireworks are amazing. I love the part of the show when the countries light up as well. World Showcase at night is so magical :cloud9:

This was a tough one for me, I really enjoy both of them. A visit to WDW wouldn't be complete without seeing the fireworks on Main street. The slight edge went to Illuminations ... it is a great show, and though the fireworks at Disneyland and WDW are different, they are similar enough that Illuminations seems more special when I visit the World.

even though wishes is amazing, i would have to pick illuminations. my mom, who could sing every song during the wishes show, i think would disagree with me. i just like the fire and the lights on all the different countries.:fworks::fworks::fworks:

I would have gone with Fantasmic, lol, but that wasn't up there. I went with Wishes because I guess I've seen Illuminations so many times thru the years, it's losing it's luster a bit for me.

I love both shows. If I had to pick one I would have to pick Wishes. I love the music that is set to the show. Everytime I watch it I get goose bumps. It almost makes me want to cry!!!:cry:

I love Illuminations! But, I love Wishes even more! The fact that it is in my favorite park may have something to do with it. But, I can't imagine anything more magical than fireworks over Cinderella's Castle!:fworks:

I don't think anything is better than the MK and everything in it--all so magical! :cloud9: That includes Wishes. Of course, I am just a big kid and know all the songs and everything so that makes it even better. :mickey: Illuminations is great too, but nothing beats anything at the MK! :blush:

I am a huge fan of the pre-2000 Illuminations, but am not a big fan of the current one. I do love Wishes though, so this was not a hard choice for me.

I have to go with Wishes!! We got married :bride::groom:10 minutes before wishes started and then back into the boat to watch Wishes! while we had champagne and cake and a mini reception with Paul :sail:our boat captain. Then we went to GF lobby for pix. It was a memorable night. So, Wishes holds a very special place in my heart.

Wishes hands down! No other fireworks show has ever made me cry! We watched from the Tomorrowland walkway and had Tink fly right over us - nothing can beat that magic!! We have the Wishes soundtrack on CD, and I can just close my eyes and picture myself back at my favorite place on Earth! My kids have even reworded the song, "Wishes, set them free! Wishes, cry Mommy!" They know what a sap I am!!!

Yep, that's why I chose Wishes - Illuminations is getting old and tired for me!

My vote evened the score at 25 apiece. I'm one of the few people who does not love Wishes. It's a beautiful fireworks display, but it's not a must-see show for my family.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is absolutely incredible, matched only by Fantasmic!. We see this display at least once per trip.

I love Wishes the most, Fantasmic next, then Illuminations. I think the struggle to find a good viewing spot does influence me. But I am a big sap and Wishes makes me cry too!

I am one of those people that stand in the middle of Main Street mouthing the words along with Jiminy Cricket. :fworks: We watched Illuminations this past trip for the first time in years and it was AMAZING. But in my mind Wishes still beats it.

I like wishes. I have never watched illuminations from a good spot. The globe is always too far away to see.
