Helllo,

We haven't been to WDW since Expedition Everest was added. My thrill ride limit is Tower of Terror and Rockin Roller Coaster. And, my stomach does a few jumps on Tower of Terror but I have never gotten sick on it. How bad is Expedition Everest compared to TOT and RR?

Thanks,

I think EE drop is better than ToT. If you liked ToT, EE is a breeze.

EE isn't nearly as bad as ToT. The drop is quite smooth, actually.

If you don't have any problems with either the RNR or TTOT then you shouldn't have a problem with EE because in my opinion it isn't nearly as half intense as the other two. The most intense part of the ride comes once you reach the top of Everest and see the tracks ahead have been torn up then the cars plunge backwards into the dark. The drop isn't bad. It's the darkness that makes it a bit scary.

EE is a much smoother ride than ToT IMO... Although I love ToT :mickey:

EE is a much smoother than ToT. It does go backwards, but if you don't have problems with going backwards you will be fine.

The EE drop is similar to the drop on Splash Mountain, only about 30 feet longer, and you do not stop when you get to the bottom.

It's hard for me to compare the drops on Tower of Terror with those on Expedition Everest--they are just two different types of rides. However, if you can handle Rock N Roller Coaster, I think you will be okay on Expedition Everest. As someone else has mentioned, it's the part of the ride on EE where you're going backwards in the dark that is the most disorienting, but no more so than all the loops and inversions in the dark on RnRC.

I agree. EE drop is nowhere near as bad as ToT

IMO you can't compare these rides. EE is very smooth, sort of like a smoother and higher version of BTMRR. TT and RnR are scarier to me.

You should be able to handle it if you can handle RnRC...it's no where near as intense as RnRC.

I think EE is a perfect coaster, great theme, smooth, a little scary, but no where near as bad as TOT! The drops are smooth and curved so your stomach doesn't plummet. If you can do TOT and RR you will love EE.

If you can hadle RnRc, you could handle EE. It's much smoother then RnRc and not as intense

If you can ride TOT or RRC then EE should be a breeze. I prefer RRC over TOT & EE.

Is the drop portion of the ride in the dark going backwards? If so I would have to skip this:ack:

For me, EE is definitely less stomach-churning than ToT. I really enjoyed the ride on EE but would probably pass on doing the Tower again.

EE doesn't begin to compare to TOT as far as the drop. EE is a smooth controlled drop where TOT is so wild and fast! Of course, as a ride, I like EE better! It is totally awesome!!:mickey:

I've never ridden RnR or ToT, but I am a total coaster-phobe and loved EE. The drop was very smooth, almost comparable to splash mountain...just a bit longer and steeper. I was nervous on the climb up (didn't have time to be nervous in line, we only walked through and waited for about 2 mins for another train to come in), but we went on 3 times that night and I love it.

When you are going backwards in the dark, you don't go down much at all. Like me and a few friends said after riding it last weekend, it feels like you are going upside down without going upside down.
